The location of this hotel is definitely one of its best features—it's right in the heart of Palermo, yet tucked away in a surprisingly quiet area. You can reach the center in just a few minutes on foot, which was super convenient.
The staff were reasonably friendly, but communication was a bit difficult as they didn't speak much English. It made some interactions a bit awkward, though we managed with the help of Google Translate.
On the positive side, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean, which I appreciated. One odd aspect was that while the bathrooms are private (not shared with other guests), they're not actually inside the rooms. So you have your own bathroom, but you need to step out of your room to use it. It wasn’t a huge issue, but something to be aware of.
Overall, this hotel has potential with its great location and cleanliness, but the noise and communication barriers were drawbacks during my stay.
However, my stay was unfortunately affected by a lot of construction noise both inside and next to the building. There was constant drilling throughout the day, which made it nearly impossible to relax or take a siesta in the room. It was quite frustrating and definitely took away from the overall comfort.

I had a really great stay at Luca’s place! The room was comfortable, clean, and full of useful amenities. The bathroom was spotless and very convenient — everything felt well taken care of. The location is absolutely perfect, especially for someone like me who knows the area well. It was the ideal base for getting around. Thanks again for everything, Luca! Verry easy remote check in and flexible easily contactable host, Luca. Great room and facilities, especially excellent air con. Location ideal for us as was right in the middle of La Kalsa area which is full of nice bars and restaurants. Booked this last minute due to a travel cancellation but was easily one of the nicest apartments we stayed during the trip, with great value for money.

Stayed here a couples of days before flying home from Palermo. Perfect location and a nice room. The surrounding streets are bursting with restaurants, bars and cafe's. We never actually met the host or the staff but everything worked out smoothly and information was clear. All our questions were answered quickly on WhatsApp. Highly recommended

The room is very clean, confortable, and tastefully decorated. The staff, as well as the owner, were superb: kind, attentive, and very responsive at any time of the day.
The B&B is ideally located, and only a short walk from the Cassaro and the seafront. Most points of historical interest, markets, and commerce are located within a 30-minute walk.
The air conditioning unit may need some maintenance.

The apartments at the Piazza Marina are located in a central area, so everything is fairly close and within walking distance.
It was very quit at night.
The building where the apartment is located was very secure and we felt safe.
Difficulty to find the apartment.
The bed was quite comfortable, but the bed frame was too big for the mattress, so you had to watch where you were walking around the bed to avoid walking into the bed frame
