The location, views and renovations to the apartments all exceeded our expectations. It had all the amenities we needed and was clean and comfortable. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated including shipping a lost item to us.

Very uncomfortable pillows, pillow cases had some stains. Very noisy setting. No instruction on how to operate the AC, which stopped working after a couple of days. Minimally furnished kitchen. Mold in the shower. The person who handed the keys sounded like our arrival was a burden to him.

Stayed a second time at Palermo Al Massimo since we loved the location and convenience. The apartment we got was bigger and views from different balcony access points to the historical Massimo theatre was like a dream. Bed was very comfortable too.
There was a small issue with the WiFi but it was handled in a timely manner.

Fantastic location just steps from Teatro Massimo and many cafes and bars. The walk from the airport bus stop was about 10 minutes. The room was beautiful with a great view.

Street noise on Saturday night only. It seems as if there is a party of some type in the plaza on Saturday nights. Other nights fine. Just be aware if you are staying over on a Saturday party goes to 1 am

Exceptional Stay in the Heart of Palermo
My husband and I had a wonderful two-night stay at Palermo al Massimo apartment. The location couldn’t be better – right in the city center, directly overlooking the iconic Teatro Massimo. It was the perfect base for exploring Palermo, with all the main historical sites, restaurants, and shopping just a short walk away.
The apartment itself is spacious, spotless, and recently renovated. It features a large bedroom, two modern bathrooms, and an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area equipped with everything we needed – including a washing machine, which was a great bonus. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and it truly felt like a home away from home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would 100% return the next time we visit Palermo. Highly recommended!
What Could Be Improved
The only minor issue we encountered was with the lighting in the building’s common areas. After 1 PM, when the doorman leaves and the front entrance is closed, the entryway becomes quite dark. It would be helpful to have lighting that automatically turns on or can be manually activated during these hours. Similarly, the staircase could benefit from better lighting to ensure guests feel safe and comfortable when coming and going, especially in the evening.

Location was exceptional
The photo advertising the room shows a dramatic direct view of the Theatro Massimo. But our room overlooked a side road with only an indirect view of the Theatro Massimo. Not happy about the view from our balcony compared to what we expected. Getting in and out of the room is tricky with keys and elevators and very poor lighting.

The place was big and spacious and very clean. There is nothing to say rather then it was a great place to stay in a GREAT Location. Host was friendly and responded quickly.
Only two things I didn't like. Needs better pillows as those pillows were not the greatest, too flat. The Beds were comfortable though. Also I would change the key entrance. To be able to have extra security to lock the door. There were times I was able to open the door without swiping the key card which made us worried. I understand the key card also is connected with the lights but I would secure the doors a bit better.

The location in Palermo is fantastic! You cannot beat the views of Teatro Massimo. Mornings with coffee and early evenings with a glass of wine on the balcony were great. The street next to the building is full of great coffee shops and restaurants. Walking distance to all of the main attractions. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Everything went perfectly, the check in process was smooth, the location was perfect and the apartment was spacious and clean.
While there is street noise (it is one of the liveliest areas), and the sound permeates into the apartment, it did not bother us.

We were promptly met by Sara who showed us how to work everything in the apartment. She also gave us suggestions on where to eat. The apartment was very spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. We also liked the little balcony off the bedroom. Large bathroom and great water pressure in shower. The building had a lift which was great for luggage. Forgot to mention, the location was perfect.
If you didn’t use the lift, there wasn’t any lights on the stairs. But this is something the owner of the building should deal with. Also, maybe newer towels in bathroom. Overall, great place to stay.

Palermo Al Massimo is a beautiful modern condo on the 2nd floor overlooking the Teatro in the middle of the square. Ideal location to everything one step out your door. Nice little balcony with table and chairs. The owner Giuseppe was very accommodating.
All amenities were excellent! Toiletries, hairdryer and fresh towels as needed. The only drawback was the bed. The mattress was not very comfortable. However my stay was short so not terrible.

LOCATION was outstanding! right in the heart of Palermo to see the many sights and easy to walk off the beaten path to find cozy little hideaway small cafes and have delicious food! Super comfy bed. Huge room with a lovely balcony. Giueseppi was always easily accessible for any questions. Highly recommend! Would stay again!
