We were put in the newly renovated building. It was walking distance to the center attractions. The breakfast was very generous.
Parking in Palermo is not easy, especially during the Christmas/New year time.

Great Breakfast and really nice front desk staff especially Anna who was so helpful with local information, so kind and she was the one who turned our stay from good to memorable and amazing!
The elevator broke down 1 full day, there was no air conditioner so we had a hard time sleeping as the room was too hot on both nights. Therefore we coudn't get a good night's sleep even though the beds were very comfortable. Even the housekeeper came in was surprised how hot the room was!!! She was fanning herself when cleaning the room

I had several issues during my stay that significantly affected my experience.
One week before arrival, I paid for a room upgrade with a balcony. However, at check-in I was given a very small room with a window facing an external fire escape. At reception, I was told that not everything shown on the website is guaranteed and that upgrades depend on availability, despite the upgrade being paid for in advance. Only after returning to reception was the situation eventually resolved and another room provided.
Throughout my stay, there were repeated electricity problems. On the first evening, the elevator was not working, so I had to walk up to the fifth floor, where my key card did not work. The same issue had already occurred during check-in, when a staff member had to open the room with a master key. Later, other guests mentioned they were given physical keys due to the power outage, but I was not offered one initially and was asked to wait for the electricity to return. Even after power was restored, my key card still did not work, and only after another trip to reception was I given a physical key.
On the third day, electricity repairs were carried out again during the daytime without any advance notice. Because of this, I was unable to adjust my plans or cancel scheduled online work meetings, and part of my work had to be postponed since my laptop was not charged.
Additionally, the Wi-Fi in my room was very unstable, possibly due to the ongoing power issues. I reported this to reception, but the situation did not improve.
I am aware that hotel responses to reviews are often quite generic and/or generated by ChatGPT, so I do not necessarily expect changes to follow. However, I believe it is important to share this experience so that other travelers are properly informed before making a booking.

Allowed pets, and provided a valet for the parking garage for a fee, but very convenient. Nice hotel warm, but we could not adjust the temperature in the room ourselves and it was too warm.
HOtel had a power outage for almost all day, and guests could not return to their rooms until 1700. I recommend when that happens that the hotel offer at least free water and snacks for guests waiting to get into their rooms.

Nice room size, nice breakfast.
The receptionist offered us to take a room in a different building (outside of the hotel) as a free upgrade. Of course it was a trap: very uncomfortable flat pillows, no wifi and AWFUL pipe noise the whole night.
