Very Good
Very centrally located, just over a five-minute walk from Palermo Station. Rooms are pretty basic but spacious. Breakfast is ok.
Central location means can be quite noisy as it's on a very busy road. Rooms/amenities pretty old, so you're paying for the location basically.

Exceptional
The hotel is an easy walk from the Central Train station, easy to walk to the Quattro Canti/historic center, or easy to grab a taxi for further distances. I really loved how helpful the staff were. I booked this hotel having read on booking.com that upper rooms were accessible by elevator. But the elevator usage for upper floors is mainly for carrying up luggage, not for regular use. When I found my room was on an upper floor, I mentioned that I have a knee problem, but I would make it work. But the desk staff (I did not get his name!) arranged a different room on the main floor for me, which was very kind. It made all the difference in my stay. The room was sizeable, and the ensuite bathroom as well, and was very comfortable. Also, the weather had changed to colder before I arrived, and the first night my room was VERY cold. When I told the staff the next day, I understood they had changed the temp settings for the warmer weather, but they made an adjustment which made it much more comfortable - I really appreciated that. The remaining days were fine. I did not get the breakfast included rate, but you can tell them the night before if you would like to have breakfast and add it to the bill, which I did once, and the breakfast was very nice. And the price was a good value.
Nothing really. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of an older building, but has all the amenities you need, with the charm of being an older hotel, and the staff are super helpful.

I loved everything about this hotel. It is a modest establishment, not five star luxury. That said, I have rarely seen so much character and attention to detail in this category. From the moment you open the squeaky glass doors of the entrance hall and take the vintage elevator up to the glorious old world reception desk, you feel like you step into a living piece of history. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I could feel that everything is managed with a lot of love and care. Breakfast is excellent with many high quality pastries to choose from and coffee is made to order by a barista.
My stay was too short.

Good
Breakfast good, location good, lighting in room very poor, staff very good
lighting in room. Need to have good bedside lighting for reading. Hotel assumes guests want to watch tv. Some guests want to read and need good reading light.

Disappointing
Centrally located
Apart from being close to train station and bus station. I would avoid this hotel. There are much better accomodation options for same price and better located. Only the corridors and common areras look fine. Its difficult with luggage you have to climb narrow and steep staircase implanted the elevator brings you only to reception and the rooms are on upper floor which is inaccessible with elevatior. Although it was free cancelation they charge you in advance the 1st night. Room looks dirty and old not well maintained only improper make up has been done with cheap materials and part of old interior maintaned. It needs complete renovation. The building is in total decay balconies are cracked and wrapped in materials so that falling pieces don't kill anyone passing under. The airconditioning is controlled from reception, so you dont have control and you have to call to be switched on and off which is nonsence and inconvinient. Moulder in the bathroom everything is old and outdated with poor quality materials and visible failures. The plumbing is very bad the shower cabin very tight you can barely enter and move gets flooded and you step into whoknows whose dirt from before. Actually the bathroom is inserted into corner of the room. In the evenings you have to ring a bell and they check identity ask questions before they open and its not nice to be outside with all the garbage, dirt and urine from the living homeless people around hotel. It's 21st century at list access code or something else can be installed as in many places I have been in Italy including Sicily and Sardegna.

Very Good
Beautiful location, close to train station that we needed to get to the airport. Staff was helpful in answering the questions I had. When my card was having troubles securing my booking, they were quick at communication and patient when working with me.
Beds weren’t super comfortable, I had booked this hotel because I had seen it had an airport shuttle which wasn’t the case, though they helped set me up with the train station times to get there.

Very Poor
The morning after a terrible night we had a wonderful and helpful front desk(Antonia? Who was a100% different from the night clerk. He help us get a car to take us around ( as I am handicap with MS. )
The property was not as shown on Booking.com. Air Conditioning is controlled by desk clerk and no control in room. Room was extremely warm and the shower was extremely small and no air condition closet for bathroom. One of us got locked out of the room and two of us got locked in room and the clerk had to climb through window to get us out. No window view of garden or even outside. Picture of table on balcony is a laugh! Yes there is one just for show in breakfast area. No bar!!! Window view of door that clerk climbed through to get us out of room. No garage near by or under building as told when I called to say how handicap I was. Was unable to get cab from garage and had to walk over 400 meters in extreme heat with suitcases to hotel. Clerk was extremely unhelpful and down right rude and called me a liar ( no way did you call). When I did call before arrival he hung up on me. Cancelled the next night of my stay!!! This hotel is not handicap accessible! Breakfast was good, breakfast staff courteous and Antonio on the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful and ended our stay with helpful suggestions for car tour and car to take us and our luggage to garage. Thank you Antonio

Poor
Nice old world charm in the room and old elevator
Dirty sheets
The most confused billing I have ever come across in 35 years. They could not produce one itemized bill. Couldn’t understand the concept! Instead I got bills for reservation bills for the room bills for breakfast bills for taxes.

The pressure water is perfect and the location is the best in Palermo. Really close to all the attractions and even bus stops. Lots of market near by.

Location was god, walkable to everywhere. Room was kind of dark. For one night it was ok, but I would not recommend it for a long stay
There is old type elevator. People keep forgetting manually close the door on one of the floor. In one day stay we experience it twice. Needed to go up and down. Likely, it did not happened when we carried our luggage

Disappointing
allowed late check in, location was good
room was old and institutional looking, peeling ceiling, steps up to the room, and down to the bathroom- dangerous at night, few outlets for charging, thin mattresses so the bed was not so comfortable either. It, took a long time- ( half an hour to check out since there was one person on duty and multiple people checking out at 10 am and everything was manual. We were in the room only for 8 hours due to late check in and early check out. they would not allow us to pay the additional city tax at check in, only check out, only in cash.

Very basic room but clean. The smart tv was a good addition. €5 breakfast was great with good selection to choose from.
Very noisy location, particularly at night. No onside parking but one can park at Central Station for €18 per day, so it's quite expensive.
