The people at the front desk were wonderful. Location was great. Beautiful lobby and breakfast room.
We had a suite which was very spacious but needed some help with decorating. It was very bare and not very inviting. Also magnifying mirror was so high up there is no way I could use it and I am tall! Also, the street outside was very noisy on Friday and Saturday night.
The only bar was on the rooftop deck with limited views even though there was a lovely space on the main lobby. The service in the bar was very spotty.
Saying all that, I would still stay there again but would get a more cozy interior room.

Overall the staff were great
Unfortunately the few positives don’t out way the multiple negatives. For the price and 5 Star luxury rating Grand Hotel et des Palmes doesn’t meet expectation
Rooms and Bed:
Polyester pillows (what luxury hotel doesn’t have down:feather pillows)

Mattress lacked support
Room is very sparse, minimal decorations, feels very low end. All the money has clearly been spent in the lobby and everything past the lobby is dowdy and drab.
Hallway carpets bordering threadbare and severely stained. No art or interest at all in the hallways, feels like a 3 star motel hallway.
Turn down inconsistent, only giving one bottle of water on the beside one night but leaving a glass on each bedside, previous night given 2 bottles.
Rainfall shower lacks pressure, knob can adjust pressure but doesn’t do much
Looking out the hall windows to the central
Courtyard gives a lovely view of the blue tarp covering the breakfast area… some maintenance clearly required
Noise:
Very loud street noise that the double glazing doesn’t adequately block out. All night revving engines and bikes whizzing past (we were on the 3rd floor at the rear of the property, there are internal rooms that would probably be quiet)
The insulation between rooms is also inadequate, we could hear the room next door every time they emptied their bladder…
Or moved their chair - why don’t they add felt to the bottom of the chair legs?
The room provides no kettle or tea/coffee unless requested - the tea was also not replenished by house cleaning. Not standard of a luxury hotel, hotels at lower price points and star ratings give tea and pod coffees as standard
Breakfast
Not great, not the largest selection, watery eggs that often were empty. Slow service forgetting coffee orders. Omelette made on request but not outright offered - many guests probably don’t realise they can order this
Overall our stay didn’t live up to expectation or the price paid. I personally wouldn’t stay again

Very quiet room, excellent workout facility
Breakfast was a little disappointing after previous hotels. Curiously, eggs are nicely made, but very cold. Would have enjoyed more cheese selections (usually only one or two) but pastries excellent. Would have preferred self-service coffee.

Very convenient location and beautiful space.
The AC in our room was not working properly and we had trouble sleeping as a result. The front desk was not helpful when we complained. We also waited almost 30 minutes for our coffees at breakfast and had to ask many times. It was not worth the money.

It was a beautiful property. The staff was fantastic. The bathroom was big and well equipped. The rooms were big and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.
