The location and staff helpfulness. The hotel is located very close to the center of Palermo, so it was easy to walk to sights, restaurants and the waterfront. The staff was very helpful having a nearby garage pick up the car. And return it on chec
The hotel is located on a street that is primarily pedestrian in the evening so reaching it was confusing. It was also unclear when we made the reservation that we needed to reserve space in the garage too. A nearby garage picked up and returned the car.

Location in the city was prime. Close to all the sites, activities and restaurants. Staff was great.
Noise level from deliveries were so loud it woke us up every morning (6:30 am). I would not advise guest to eat breakfast at hotel. Food not very good.

Central location, helpful staff and pleasant room. Everything was full of style as a former palace should be! Beautiful breakfast.
Air con was cold. Its not cheap but well worth it

First room given was terrible- bathroom door didn't close, bathroom cramped , dingy and worn fabrics in room, safe didnt work.
Breakfast was fair. Didn't like powdered eggs and soggy bacon.

A wonderful location in Palermo, a few metres from the Quattro Canti. All the amazing sights of Palermo are at your doorstep. Our generous suite with two bedrooms comfortably accommodated 4 adults.

Location and its a beautiful building.
Booked the presidential suite in January this year as a finale to our 6 weeks of traveling with another couple. Upon arrival we were informed our suite was not available . Was told there had been a problem with the system and they only got the booking the day before. Personally we didnt believe that scenario. Probably got a better rate elsewhere. They did compensate us by finally giving us 2 rooms with terraces next to each other at half price and dinner on the house with wine at their restaurant.If booking with this hotel I suggest you double check your booking has been received by the hotel. We got immediate confirmation when we booked though this website but unfortunately when we turned up , no presidential suite for us!!

The public spaces are just incredibly beautiful. The breakfast was also very good. Cant beat the location!
Several things in the room didnt work like the safe and one of the TVs, but the one TV that did work, didnt matter because they didnt have any channels in English. Just wouldve liked a little bit of news is all. The hotel couldnt fix either thing while we were there. There was a little mold surrounding the shower door, and I picked up a dust bunny bundle. It felt like the hotel paid much more attention to their public spaces than to the rooms.

Its a lovely historic Grand Hotel with lavish decor and great roof top restaurant. Although not easy to find, the gym and sauna are also well equipped. Beside, it is right in the centre of the old city, many sights are within walking distance. Staff were super-friendly.
Parts of the hotel could do with a make-over, renovation. We have accepted that as patina.
