Wonderful
Good location between spanish quarters and old town. The staff was very nice and helpful. Large room, we were 3 people with plenty of space. Elevator to get to the third floor, easy for luggage.

It's clean, and the location was good as it's close to the theatre and the port. The staff were friendly but did not speak English so well. The room is big enough and the facility is ok.
There were a few ants in the room - no idea why as it's not on the ground floor. The staff came in to clean the room while we were outside - not sure how common this is in Italy? It would be better if we could be informed or asked.

Just stay for a night. Host was very good and received us on time. Location can be tricky, but I did not feel unsafe. Restaurants, supermarkets etc are very close.
Internet access was down.

Disappointing
First we got a room with no hot water in the shower, then got a new room which was bigger but smelled very bad and we had to sleep on an opening bed, our back still hurts. It was very noisy, we had a really bad night. Sorry to say

First of all the location is amazing!! Walking distance from everywhere and right next to metro station.
Besides that the owner is very kind, he helped us multiple times with requests and questions, he was very available.
The room is pretty big so it’s nice.
The room doesn’t have a window so you can’t ventilate the room.
Also there is some moisture on the walls.

The street of the guest house is scary and dirty, to enter the guest house you enter an inner courtyard of an apartment building, (people live there) the space is scary and dirty, there is a small elevator that only fits one person. The sheets are dirty and have fibers and hairs on them. The owners of the place are not willing to change dirty towels. The owner barely understands English, and when he doesn't understand what is being said to him he gets stressed and starts screaming and mumbling unclear words.

- One of the staff was not open to listen to our needs (the two other staff was nice). We complained about a water boiler that had unknown pieces in it mixed with the water, lime perhaps. He said it wasn't any problem (i.e. not listening or caring about our issue). I said it should be clean. He took offense and argued it was clean. It wasn't dirty, but it should not be floating pieces of anything in a water boiler. This left a sour aftertaste.
- One of the days, they did not clean our room. Not sure why, but perhaps because we said no to cleaning the previous day (but we said no to cleaning that day only).
- Small ants in the hotel room. Just a few, but I would prefer no ants.

The lay out of the mezzanine room was perfect. Cold water in fridge was topped up daily. Nice hot shower with towels and toiletries.
I brought with me some sachets of cappuccino from home, the type where you add water. Some sachets disappeared out of my room and the only person in was the cleaner. The date was 30 July if owner wants to look into it. It seems trivial but the cleaners are trusted in to rooms and if they take things they think you won’t notice, how many people do they steal from? It’s wrong and unpleasant. I didn’t not report to manager as his English was not good and he would not have understood me. I would not leave our bags after check out for this reason.

the rooms were very nice and clean. everything worked and we had no problems during the stay.
the elevator needs a chip to work. we had one room downstairs and two rooms upstairs and we had to go by the stairs each time since the room downstair did not receive a chip.
also we had multiple keys to open all the doors which wasnt comfortable.
