Wonderful
Barbara in the restaurant was amazing. Helped us with our 2 kids every night they loved her and she was so nice
Hot tub didn't work and it was the reason we picked the bigger suite.

Good
The pool looked nice but we didn’t have time to make use of it due to the opening times. There was lots of nice outside seating to relax in the evening. The room itself was good and had everything we needed
It would have been useful to have information about how to access the hotel if arriving on foot (the lift up to the reception was not clear and luckily a member of staff was nearby to help us out). The area around the hotel is a bit run down. The aircon worked but was a bit temperamental. Breakfast was passable

Exceptional
The staff were exceptional, so nice and saw to our every need! The hotel was beautiful and secluded, worth staying outside of town on the hill. Best hotel and staff I have ever experienced, they made our stay so special. Food was delicious with massive portions in the restaurant.
Nothing, seriously cannot recommend enough!

Breakfast and pool both amazing
Every time we would shower the floor would get flooded cause of the gap at the side, hot water also takes a few minutes to come out.

The greeting from Umberto was wonderful. The pool and breakfast were delightful. The room was spacious and the bed was fabulous.
The evening meal was not up to expectations but the staff were exceptional.

Good
Stayed for 4 nights in early Sept 2025. Booked one of the more expensive rooms, thinking that for a longer stay having a lounge area would be useful. Large balcony with hottub (didn't use) overlooking Via Agnano to the east, not very scenic (though road is far below as hotel is on a ridge). Pool and pool bar relatively nice (and quiet midweek) but . Hotel has free car parking for 10-20 cars. Staff were very accommodating to our large party.
Room looked to be two ajoining standard rooms, with the bed removed from one (each had a bathroom/shower and a fridge). A lot of traffic noise in the mornings so earplugs recommended. Room looked recently renovated (other guests noted "tired" interiors in their rooms) but clearly not done to a high standard - fittings broken or badly installed in more than one place. Hotel's strange rule that swimming caps are mandatory is most odd. Ate twice at the hotel as a party of +10, menu was not inspiring and overpriced for what arrived. Location is not great for travelling into Naples often. Local metro train station is 15min walk and the tap-and-tap ticketing is buggy, charging a maximum daily cost for a single trip more than once. Getting an Uber is an option for 4+ travellers, expect 40-60EUR depending on destination. Public transport to Pompeii involves two trains, end-to-end at least 90mins travel each way.

Very clean and tidy- amazing property and swimming pool was a show stopper
Would have preferred a double bed instead of twins, but this was a small issue we rectified by pushing them together!

Very clean Excellent pool Friendly staff Nice breakfast Quiet and very relaxing
Maybe extend pool hours into evening Useful to have more info for travelling into city centre via public transport For example short walk to Agnano train station. Then stop at Montesanto (final stop) and get metro underground which a outside train station (2 min walk)

Fair
Rooms were clean and bedroom was fairly modern. Pool area was clean and tidy but beds were dirty. Staff were pleasant and helpful
sockets were hanging off the wall by the door, med side light wasnt working, the shower area was old and tatty, the TV had no English channels, the Pm menu didn’t really cater for people that didn’t like fish so on the Pm we ended up paying €20 for a plate of chips each, as all the restaurants in the area were either closed down or didn’t open until 7pm. The snack bar food wasn’t very nice and was expensive and didn’t have much choice (salad, a toasted ham and cheese sandwich, chicken sandwich or some sort of local quiche.). Outside areas such as the gardens, were unkept and there was rubbish and old furniture on display. Sun loungers were dirty/stained.

It was for us a perfect spot to stay one night before leaving next day from naples airport. The airport is close, about 15 minutes drive. The staff is very friendly, and helped us in a good way when one room had issues with the door lock: they gave us a new room right away. The rooms are comfy, good beds, and clean.
Breakfast was below expectations. No bacon, but warmed-up slices of ham. But most unbelievable for me was fact that there was no machine to make fresh espresso or cappuccino, but only a can with coffee. The coffee was not bad, but in the land that invented the most tasteful coffee, I would have expected more

Loved the quietness of the hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of Naples. The pool was also quiet and lovely.
It was a bit of a walk to the Metro but fine once we got used to it, as taxis are quite expensive.

The staff at the Montespina Hotel were excellent overall. The food was beautiful also and the pool was gorgeous
The entrance to the hotel from the main road is poor; there is a lift which brings you to reception but it is not obvious at all that this lift is available. The roadway requires a lot of attention and maintenance; it does not match the beautiful hotel that is at the top of the roadway. The signs are old and damaged.

The location… wasn’t much nearby so had to travel out in the evenings or stay in hotel.

Staff members always helpful and polite. Beautiful laidback hotel and the amount of areas to relax. Aircon in the rooms was great especially for getting a good sleep in the hot weather. Room cleaned everyday, pool not crowded and could get a bed anytime of the day. 5min walk down to supermarket, 15min to train which was cheap and pretty reliable to get to Naples ( around 25min on the train) would definitely stay again when visiting the area. Also anyone staying you can get the super fast train from Naples to Rome for a great day out. 1hr it took which was really comfortable.
It’s not really major for us as we planned on being away from the main city area but there really isn’t much around regards going out to eat/drink with out a good 15/20min walk which was fine for us but some people would struggle. There are some nice spots to go but the area around the hotel is not that pretty.

Pleasant
The pool and communal areas were good Staff were very nice
Too many mosquitoes - made it impossible to sit by the pool) (although that’s not the hotels fault) We stayed in one of the rooms with jacuzzi , jacuzzi didn’t work properly , the room was very dated Huge hotel with very few guests made for no atmosphere at dinner or breakfast
