The staff is extremely polite and caring, ready to help, and also very knowledgeable about the city and place recommendations. The breakfast is quite nice considering it is included and the price for the room. The hostel location is quite close to the center, and gives one the opportunity to see the surroundings, which is great. The outside area is the top of the hostel. I would go again!
I would only recommend more signage about the hostel in the street, because it took me a while to find it (google maps was not good! ahah). For the room, it would be a good improvement to add some curtain in the bunk beds for privacy as well as individual light and power outlet.

If you prefer a hostel that feels like a farmhouse, with attractive seating gardens, this establishment is an excellent choice. The property notably occupies a substantial area, exceeding typical expectations for a hostel. It is aesthetically pleasing.
If I had any complaints about La Controra Hostel, it wasn't the staff or the elegant residence; it was the guests who used the restroom and left it unclean. I took the initiative to discuss with the manager the possibility of providing a mop in the restrooms, along with notices asking guests to clean up after themselves before leaving. The manager responded positively, thanked me, and assured me that the measure would be implemented.

The staff were amazing, super nice and helpful. I loved the breakfast also, many items. The location is also good and close to the metro station
The hostel was a bit rundown and although I could see the staff were cleaning is all the time but it looked dirty and not pleasant to stay. The wifi is also hit and miss, for work you need to sit in the garden which is fine though

I stayed at La Controra Hostel Naples in a 10-bed mixed dorm. My experience was quite mixed, although there were definitely some very good aspects.
The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made a wonderful first impression and were always pleasant to deal with throughout my stay.
The breakfast was easily the highlight. It was amazing and genuinely helped make up for some of the less enjoyable parts of the experience.
Unfortunately, the hostel needs a proper deep clean. The overall cleanliness did not meet my expectations, and I found the cleaners to be very rude, which made the situation even more disappointing. The laundry equipment also needs serious attention and should either be properly repaired or replaced.
Personally, I would not stay here again. However, if you need affordable and safe accommodation in Naples, this could still be a good option.

It wasn't too far from the centre. Metro was close by. I loved the room it definitely didn't feel busy in the girls dorm. The bed was very comfy!
They did have a luggage room for early or late departures without cost.
Laundry was also there but with a cost.
It would have been good if it was cleaned more often, or a towel was given for the bathroom when showering.
The internet did not reach the room unfortunately so I did have to sit outside or in the common room most of the time when I wanted internet.
A bit difficult to find at the beginning but go around the corner and you'll find it in the corner.

Conveniently located near a subway station. Small breakfast in the morning with delicious fruit salad. Room very clean. Got even a room upgrade surprisingly! Everyone of the stuff members chilled.
You can’t go wrong here if you stay in Naples!
One time there was no toilet paper in the room. But the next day it was fully filled again

Bed was a bit short but comfy, rooms were quiet, breakfast was good.
Some of the bathrooms had clogged drains, broken shower doors and dirty in general.
