The location is acceptable, very close to the station and close to the shops and markets. It's ok for a very short stay.
The owner tries to be very kind, but I didn't appreciate receiving constant messages from the beginning until I left. It felt a bit weird.

Room wasn’t clean, over perfumed, used condoms in the bin and sheets not changed.
Confusion about booking resulted in staff pressuring us and demanding more money.
We were so uncomfortable we left after one night and had to forfeit our remaining money.

I liked the location. You can walk everywhere from the apartment.
The location is great but it's also very sketchy. You pay what you get, but when I arrived I was very afraid and although nothing happened during my stay, I always tried to come back early so I didn't have to walk those streets alone.
Even though I had my own room I felt like I didn't have privacy. One of the days I came back to my room being clean (that's a good thing I guess) but my door was not locked. There is a lot of people, traveling that will come and go but my door was open.
As a female solo traveler I felt like I was being watched the entire time I was there. I felt uncomfortable most of the time.

- The host was very nice and helpful.
- Close to the central station.
- There is a supermarket close by.
- This was the only option in the price range allowing late(after 11pm) check-in.
- Free coffee in the hallway.
- It was not mentioned that the private bathroom was external.
- A bit far from the old town and other sites.
- The bed was not comfortable.

It was 10 min on foot away from the "Centro storico" and also the metro which made it pretty comfortable to visit the best part of the city.
The owner was helpful and also suggested some of the best places to visit in city (of which there were many)

Clean apartment, helpfull host, kitchen is suitable to prepare some meals if necessary. Close to the train station and airport bus as well as walkable distance to old town metro and etc.
We didn't have a big problem as we stayed one night only, however, would not recommend staying with small kids. Building is not really stroller friendly so getting in/out can be a husle. Neighbourhood is not a best in town, maybe it's just how it looks, but you don't feel 100% safe coming home in the evening, even though the main street where atmosphere changes is very close. Lastly as it not exactly individualy separated apartment (we booked apartment with balcony) and there is a common corridor for a few rooms, soundproof is very little, so having baby crying at night is not ideal.

The presence of AIR conditionar WAS crucial for our stay (2nights)!!!! The neighborhood was very quiet and people met in the building was very kind and helpful. The room was clean with a nice balcony.
I read comments about the city zone (I.e. dangerous one) but during our stay everything was fine. Like everywhere, the area close to the station could be fearsome so keep your eyes wide open and... enjoy!
Ps: near to the B&B there is the Basilica of Santa Maria del Carmine, without a doubt it's worth a visit!!

Pascal was a very friendly host, and very communicative to ensure you were having a good stay. The room was large and airy with good aircon and the bathroom was large and well equipped. We were kindly given a free out of hours checkin and supported by Pascal the whole time, although we were advised this can cost up to £30 so great to check in advance. Bag storage and day boat trips were also advertised to help with your stay, although we did not use these so cannot comment, but good to know they were there. The building has a lift for luggage and apartment is well sound proofed and has good aircon, There was free coffee too...and the niehgbours are very friendly!
The locaiton of the property was rather intimidating to arrive late at night, and property not the easiest to locate on the first entrace. You are in the heart of the local markets, which is fab, but does mean the area can be quite industrial late at night. Pascal is very helpful with videos of the entrance but we still struggled a little and defintely felt quite intimidated dragging cases down sark streets late at night. Its a fantastic value for money property but would advise turning up in the daytime, especially if a solo (especially if female) traveller. The buliding is also quite run down; (although the apartment itself is very nice, we must add!!). There are 4 rental lots in the apartment block beloning to Jordan home, and the private bathroom is not connected directly to the room but justoutside of it. Finally The doors all have large glass panells in that offer privacy but let light through, this was disturbing in the night if you are a light sleeper
