Located right on the seafront, the prestigious Grand Hotel Vesuvio overlooks the Gulf of Naples, the island of Capri and Mount Vesuvius. From April to October, the Wonderful Sky Lounge Solarium & Cocktail Bar has full views of Gulf of Naples. Rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated. The Vesuvio Grand Hotel serves a varied buffet breakfast each morning. Breakfast was very good. We liked the view of Vesuvius from the room.
Bathroom tiny, especially the shower stall. Wi-fi spotty in the room. Hotel location is distant from pretty much everything but the port, and closest metro is 25 minutes on foot.

The hotel is beautifully appointed and the furniture and fittings are stunning. The reception and staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was stunning.

Vesuvio is always a safe harbor for the visitor: staff, breakfast, dinner, ... everything at its best
A smoking area could be appreciable, nut the kindness of the staff covers its lack

Location! It is very central to the main shopping, ferry port, boardwalk by the sea, and some of the key attractions.
Despite being a 5 star, the property felt old, and services were up to par to a 5 star rated facility.

Good breakfast , helpful staff. Reception excellent. Unfortunately the electric kept tripping in our room which was annoying when the air con went off !!!

A beautiful hotel in a stunning location
The customer service was a bit of a comedy of errors - especially one female receptionist/ concierge - which would be ok if one were not paying 680 euros a night - at that price, one expects the customer service to be worthy of this beautiful hotel

Great breakfast and rooftop bar (pricey drinks with free nibbles). Interesting, but small, spa and pool were a bonus. Lots of restaurants nearby.
There's an odd gap if you want an early dinner, with the bar closing for food around 6 (negotiable?), yet the restaurant not opening until 8.30...!
