Located right on the seafront, the prestigious Grand Hotel Vesuvio overlooks the Gulf of Naples, the island of Capri and Mount Vesuvius. Location(we travel without any public transportation, port and center is near), really 5 stat hotel, we coming early and room is giving me as soon as possibly quicker, check out also later a bit. Breakfast is wonderful, personal very helpful.

Nice location. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful view from the room.
Most of facilities were closed without any prior notice during booking : pool, sauna, rooftop all closed for maintenance despite good weather. The bed supposed to be king side double bed was actually made of two twin beds which was not convenient to us. There was no coffee machine in the room and small bottle of water never replaced which is unusual for this category of hotel. Room was ready very late during check in. Reception was supposed to call us when room is ready but never did. When we asked for late check out, no substantial commercial effort was provided to compensated .

Candy, cookies and gift were a nice surprise.
The sheets were terrible. Light stayed on in closet all night. Room was too small to fit luggage. The room needed to be updated. Shower leaked, floor was soaked.
