1. There seemed to be little or no atmosphere in the hotel itself.
2. When we first arrived we had a bottle of wine that we purchased at the airport, there was no opener in the room so we asked the bar manager on 7th floor to open it could not. I was told I had to bring the bottle to the restaurant and a corkage charge would need to be applied.
3. On another occasion staff opened the bedroom door, without knocking, and turned the light on, waking us up. 15 mins later and the same thing happened again.
4. I had two nights using valet parking for a rented car. When checking out of the hotel the driver requested €40 cash which I paid. When reaching the airport the garage worker called me said they made a mistake and charged for only one night. They asked me to return and pay it. I could not as I did not have time or the hired car any longer.
This is not the fault of the hotel but they did provide valet parking which expected to be added to my bill.
Issues like this made the 4 night stay at the hotel uncomfortable.

Everything was according to my expectations of a good classic Hotel with a splendid view of the Bay of Naples and the Vesuv, friendly service, very good breakfast and an elegant room.
I had ask for a very quiet room, but the sonorisation seems outdated so that I woke up at 3am by a loud discussion in the next room. While I was working in my room the next morning, equally loud conversations by the otherwise very friendly cleaning personal were quite disturbing, a fact however that you find in almost every even good hotel today as the personal seems to be not sufficiently trained to the need of the guests to not being disturbed in their rooms by loud and superfluous conversations in the corridors.

Professional, pleasant staff; beautiful grand building; lovely roof terrace bar with superb views; excellent breakfast with a lot of choice and very fresh fruit.
Building work outside- not hotel's fault.
