Hotel was only 5 min walk from train station. Room was a good size with comfortable bed. Room had mini fridge and a safe. Bathroom was a good size too, water pressure was excellent with plenty of hot water. You are able to borrow a steamer for ironing which was great. Staff all very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful with hot and cold dishes. An added benefit for me, as I am vegan, was that there was an excellent vegan restaurant 5 mins walk from hotel. Also a fantastic vegan patisserie and coffee shop also a 5 min walk from hotel. The trains and metro in Milan are easy to use so this is a good base for daytrips. Coaches to airport also run from behind the train station or hotel can arrange a transfer. I would definitely stay there again if in Milan

Everything about the hotel was great: from checking in process to the stay and staff. I have stayed in many different countries and hotels and Smart Hotel Central has the most comfortable bed I've slept in outside of my home :-)

Amazing location and friendly helpful staff
The setup is annoying, AC light is too bright at night, some lights are automatic some are not, the switches are confusing and inconsistent, you have to request for tea/coffee. Pillows are uncomfortable, no facial tissues or room bin. All these small things are extra headache for no reason

I’ve stayed here multiple times. It’s convenient and affordable; those are its merits. Air conditioning wasn’t always necessary—not in winter or spring, and presumably also not in fall; you can crack a window and not worry about mosquitoes getting in. The last time, in August, the air conditioning in the room blew directly down on the bed. And that situation made me sick: caused me to become congested. The A/C also made a loud, rhythmical clunking noise. I informed the front desk; they apologized, and they offered me an upgrade on my next stay—with none of those problems, they assured me. On account of this gesture, which is good customer service, I cut them some slack. Well, as it turned out, the room (703) on this stay may have been larger, but the airconditioning vent blew directly down on the bed, as before in room 710; and I got sick again. Furthermore, 703 was a front-facing room, and there were drunken rowdies in the street until sunrise; one would expect hotel concierges to phone the police on their own initiative to stop the noise. Because I was in a corner and end-of-hallway room, I wasn’t affected by hallway noise; though, on an earlier occasion, the slamming shut of doors was a nuisance. Also, because my flight was delayed on the day of check-in, I tried calling the hotel to let them know I was on my way. I called 8 times over a period of 30 minutes; no one picked up. I even asked a friend to call; she also got no answer. One can imagine scenarios that might cause a front desk employee not to answer the phone, but for 30 minutes? Finally, breakfast costs about €23-28? Whatever the exact cost, it’s overpriced; and the food is horrible. For that amount, you’d expect a bevy of FRESH bread, a variety of fresh fruit; instead, it was all unappetizing, and in a darkly lit space. Out of desperation after a long flight, and knowing it’s a short stay, you might be able to tolerate it, but I’m fed up.
