Located on the Piazza Fontana, just around the corner from the Duomo in Milan's historic center, the Rosa Grand Hotel in Milan is a the ideal place to stay. Completely modern and stylish the hotel offers hotel rooms and apartments. Our family rented two bedroom apartments which came with sitting rooms and kitchen as well as their own 24 hour concierge and light buffet for breakfast, lunch and apéritif. They were well appointed and extremely comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, assisting us with recommendations for dining and reservations. While it may not be "grand" in the traditional sense it felt more like a luxurious boutique hotel ideal for exploring the attractions and shopping in the historic center without breaking the bank!
One of the only downsides of every hotel in Milan's lively historic center is street noise from bars and cafe's, but as the hotel is climate controlled we kept our windows closed and it was not too much of a problem.

The front desk person was lovely. Very personable. Everyone was super helpful from how to reach valet, to assistance with luggage to help with both making reservations to cancelling reservations. Beds were incredibly comfortable! Appreciated the usb outlet next to the bed. And the windows had shutters to keep all light out, which was fantastic.
The location is beyond amazing, so close to the Duomo. The garden room my kids had was fantastic. It was cold and wet so we did not get to use this feature but another time of year it would be great. It's so big it could use additional seating arrangements in addition to the bistro table and chairs.
We also had the room type with Duomo view. The room was small. And the view was a partial view that you can't see from your bed but could see standing up. The parking out front was treacherous. Must be patient. And the check in line isn't a line. It's a hodge podge of people converging. I would recommend setting up a roped queue during busy times. My family came to look for me at one point because I took so long to check in as I had three ppl cut in front of me and no respect for who had waited longest because there was no queue.

room rate was high, the view is uncomfortable and overlooks at skylight between the rooms.
check in policy and check out is not convenient, i arrived at 1 pm, even if there is a ready room, they don't accept to deliver the room before 3 pm, no flexibility at all.
some people at reception are not friendly at all.

The location is great and the staff are very kind.
I had initially booked a Grand Deluxe room. The first room assigned to me was quite spacious; however, it had small windows facing the fire escape, which made it feel a bit uncomfortable upon entering.
The staff were very kind and responsive, and they immediately offered to change my room. Although the second room was smaller, it overlooked the street and felt much brighter and more pleasant.
They continued to check in on my comfort throughout my stay, which I truly appreciated. Overall, I had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
I would have appreciated knowing in advance that there was some renovation work taking place at the hotel. Overall, it did not cause significant inconvenience, but it would have been helpful to be informed beforehand.
