Relais not a true relais. There is no breakfast offered. Issue with having to carry around 6 keys with attached id tags. A real bother.
Plus: was close to nice restaurants and sites.
No On site front desk if there is anything you need.

Wonderful and in an excellent location. Tucked in a medieval building, above an archeological site from the 1st century bc is this gem of a spot. With 18-foot ceilings, a parlor, just a few rooms, and a great view. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us with an early luggage drop off, we were moving from another spot, and then to our surprise they already had a room set up. The place also has a bus stop right in front which takes you to the bus center and the train station. We appreciate them going out of their way to support our travels

Property is in an old apartment in the heart of Lucca beautifully decorated. High ceilings, comfortable beds, bathroom with a window and a safe parking for additional charge.
No breakfast available. It would be such a beautiful experience.

This authentic Tuscan property was in an excellent location to enjoy the beautiful, walkable city of Lucca.
There wasn’t anything not to like! Others have commented it was difficult to find, but our driver found it straight away and the proprietor met us at the door.

The location could not be better for walking around Lucca’s sites, restaurants etc. The accommodation itself was spacious, had beautiful decor with a lot of attention to detail.
There really wasn’t anything to dislike… but the weather while there, was cool and perhaps the accommodation could have been a little warmer.

We stayed in the suite that has its own terrace which was wonderful! Cindy was welcoming and lovely. She made us feel comfortable and was responsive to any request we had. The property is beautiful and stately.
Our only disappointment was the breakfast. They are not serving a hot breakfast, only store bought food. However, each morning there was fresh fruit which was appreciated.

The room is beautiful styled classically . There was an additional seating area annexed to the room with a balcony . Loved it and wished we had allocated more days in Lucca. There is a reception desk who welcomed us and a lovely lounge area.
It is a 15 walk from the train station across the town . However it is a nice walk and will give you a good feel for Lucca .

No breakfast. Coffee machine in lovely sitting room. Tea possible in bedroom.
The room was large and beautifully furnished with a good size ensuite. Perfect for couple.
I would rate the Relais San Lorenzo very highly.

They arranged an excellent taxi to pick us up from Pisa airport and were there to greet us on arrival.
Rarely saw any staff. The biggest issue for us were the stairs, two flights of stairs and we had to carry our heavy bags up; no lift

Would have been nice to have an elevator however that’s not unusual for such an old building not to have one-and it is only 2 floors up
