The host was very nice and helpful with the service at my arrival explaining the city, providing a map, giving advices, and suggestions of places to eat. The most amazing experience was the day after my checkout when he contacted me because I leave my ID on a bike rental nearby, He was willing to send it to my next stop of my travel and give constant follow up. I will always be grateful for him. That is real service. !! Thank you John.

Frederico was a wonderful host. He made sure to be there when we arrived and explain much about Lucca. Everything was very clean. ?
Our bathroom was not attached, but down the hall. Very easy to get to, and very clean.

We absolutely loved our stay at John B. B&B!
The place is a beautiful blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The interior is truly impressive — original elements like the walls and furniture have been carefully preserved, creating a unique and authentic atmosphere.
We especially appreciated the design of our room — it felt like stepping back in time, but with all the conveniences of today.
The host was very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help.
A truly cozy, warm, and thoughtful experience.
Highly recommend this place — we would definitely love to come back!
The only thing we missed a little was real coffee in the morning — everything else was perfect.

Federico was excellent straight from making the booking. We had contact via WhatsApp on what to do and approx time of our arrival. Had a few minutes chat on things to do where to go etc. Room was excellent and a brilliant location of Lucca. Would highly recommend to anyone on a trip to Lucca to use this accommodation. 5 stars ???? thanks Jay & Wendy ??

Frederico is helpful and takes time with you to orient you to the city. He’s eager to see that you have a good time. It’s a really good location right on the edge of the city close to the train station. It’s a spacious comfortable room. Lots of windows.
It’s a long walk up two,flights of stairs with any luggage. Not for anyone with mobility challenges. The bathroom is private but it’s outside the room right across a small hallway. Need to throw some clothes on. There are families living in the building on the floor above. It’s a building that predates notions of privacy and soundproofing so it’s noisy at times. Perhaps adds to the charm of the place.

Frederico was the perfect host, he was there to greet us when we arrived late because of a train strike, he suggested places to visit during our stay and even rang up a restaurant to check that they were still serving customers as it was past 10pm on a Sunday night.
The accommodation was clean and well maintained, the shower in the bathroom was very good with all of the relevant facilities.
It was in a good location and very secure.
I would recommend John B. &B to anyone staying in Lucca.
I cannot think of anything that I did not like.

We had a fantastic stay at John B&B. Federico was a kind and attentive host, he provided extensive info on the town and things to do and made us feel right at home. The room and bathroom were modern, clean and super comfortable and the location is central. We would definitely return! :)

Fredericco is a gem! A host who loves his city and will give you some great recommendations. The room was immaculate, Best bathroom and shower in Italy. Close to everything you need but on a quiet street. Beautifully decorated. Fantastic experience!
