This was our second stay at Il Casale di Nanni, and once again, it was great. The location is ideal, close enough to the center to enjoy all that Lucca has to offer, but just far enough for peace and relaxation. Lucia, Samantha, and their family are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making you feel right at home. And the breakfast? Absolutely delicious! We’ll definitely be back again.
Bicycles are available on the property for rent BUT all the tires were empty and on Sunday, the rental store was closed, so we had to walk to town. It is a nice walk but a bit long to do 4 times in a day.
The pool borders were a bit stained. It could have been cleaner.
The nightly rate is a bit high for the services offered.

We stayed one night, as flying out of Pisa the next morning. A lovely little pool, very classy room and delicious breakfast. Parking was useful. It was a good 15 minute walk out of town, but walking back we saw fireflies which was magical and well worth it!

Pool and Grass are was nice - but we didn't get to use it
The actual room was clean
The location to the old city was nice, its a residential area but still ok
The bathroom was tiny !!!
As you get in and out of the shower - your body will touch the doors and sink - its just not practical or well designed
There was no duvets, just white sheets with another thin sheet but no actual blankets / duvets that would be appropriate to a guest house

Walking to walls of Lucca in under 20minutes.
Veronica , Lucia and the other staff. Friendly , accommodating, pleasant they almost felt like family.
Served breakfast excellent. Nothing was too much trouble .

Nothing not to like . Maybe no lift but it’s such a Charming place with a view makes up for it . Travel light next time ?

Just a short walk from the city walls this B&B is ideally located. The pool was very refreshing. The room was clean. Breakfast was excellent. All the staff were super friendly. It was a great stay.

Excellent location for exploring Lucca. Pool area was a welcome opportunity to sit outside
Bed uncomfortable unfortunately. Breakfast choice restricted although on the second morning we were offered a very small bowl of fresh fruit. Information suggested there would be a buffet. I think our lack of being able to speak Italian may not have helped. No plates only saucers so v small portions. Was expensive for what we had.

Such friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable bedroom. Lovely breakfast served outdoors. Plenty of choice and excellent table service. On the day we were leaving there was difficulty getting a taxi so one of the lovely ladies drove us in her car to the station. So kind! Lovely pool to cool down after walking in Lucca.
It wasn't a problem for us as we like to walk but if you haven't a car it is a good 25 minute walk into the walls of Lucca.

Our room was really comfortable, small but adequate with a balcony. The bed was remade for us each morning, the bathroom was also cleaned and tidied each day. The sheets and towels were very clean. The breakfast was good and the pool was an added bonus.
Nothing, apart from the fact that my wife prefers self-service breakfasts, but the ladies were very happy to bring more of anything else you wanted. We appreciate that space was at a premium.

The team managing the place is very caring and sweet. The bed & breakfast is located 15 minutes by foot from the walls of the old city. It has some tables outside for the delicious breakfast served fresh and on order to your requests (eggs, toasts, croissants, yoghurts, fruits…). The place also includes a large parking and a long sunny lawn at the end of which lies a great pool.
Nothing, but please note that there are 3 floors with no elevator. I also prefer softer beds but this is a matter of taste and they were not uncomfortable.
