Overall you get what you play for. Very nice staff. The only thing is that it’s too far from the center of Lucca. If you walked another 3 yards you’d be in a different town. I was not clear about that so I spent a lot of money on taxi.

There's not much to see in the area but it's pretty easy to reach Lucca by bus or taxi

Very Good
Location is very nice - it is outside the centre of the city, very close to a beautiful river where we were able to bathe.
Both the owner and especially his mum were very approachable and responsive - they recommended a daily trip, gave us a table cloth to use for breakfast on the terrace.
One thing I was missing was a refrigerator where we could keep some food and drinks for the day or at least a freezer to keep our cooler bag inserts cool.
The traffic was quite busy - especially in the morning hours - but it did not bother us too much.
