Very Good
Wonderful and quiet location at night. Loved being within the city walls! Perfect place to explore. No screen on window and we slept with window open and made a mistake. Did not anticipate inviting mosquitoes to dine on our bodies!

Disappointing
This place has an old-timey charm that fits with Lucca, for sure. The location is good. (Lucca is so fantastic!) The bed and bathroom were fine. The breakfast is probably good, but we couldn't take advantage of it because we were leaving too early, so we can't say about that.
This place was a disappointment. We were there during a heat wave, and the AC basically didn't work. Also, the little refrigerator provided was "on" but did not cool water or anything else. Finally, the WiFi basically didn't work in our room. We had to go out into the hall to make the connection, but then when we went back into our room the connection dropped. This happened to both my wife and me multiple times, and we had to give up. When my wife mentioned these things to the staff person, she was not sympathetic. She said, "No one else has these problems," or something like that.

Location in relation to the train station, access to to wall and close to a nice bike shop, amici bicci, to make renting a bike easy.
The keys and doors were a little challeng, with a little figuring them out they did the job.

We had a nice stay. Very close to center of Lucca & walkable to all areas. The bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was also nice with a variety of things.
The body wash in the shower was basically empty so we didn’t have enough to use for shower.

We loved the decor. The beds were SO comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. Great shower. Bonus of a lift to get your luggage up to your room. The position within the city of Lucca was amazingly convenient. We adored Lucca, and would highly recommend staying at B&B Relais Inn.
We loved the Relais Inn - five star. There was no negative to our stay.

Beautiful large room and comfortable bed, spotlessly cleaned every day. Very well situated, a short walk from the railway station.

Disappointing
The location was the best thing.
Very tired. Rusty heating pipes. Doors scratched and in need of painting. Shower dirty. Bed frames were wooden slats I could have made in my garden shed. Rough and badly painted. Photos available to show the poor quality. It was poor and when we pointed this out to the management they shrugged and were not in the least concerned. Would I stay again? Not as long as the sun is shining.

A lovely hotel with friendly accommodating staff.
Close to local bars, cafes and restaurants.
The room was comfortable and well furnished.
The Osteria next door was very noisy until 1am on Fri and Sat nights.
