I am genuinely impressed by how this hotel managed to achieve an 8.8 rating on Booking, because my experience was much closer to a 5/10.
If you enjoy planning your entire vacation around a shuttle schedule, this is the perfect hotel for you. There is a free shuttle to the city, but it must be booked in advance, and getting everyone in your group on board seems to be considered an optional bonus feature. When we couldn’t get a spot on the shuttle, we asked reception to arrange a taxi instead. We were a group of six, yet on several occasions they managed to book a taxi for four. Even if you do manage to use the shuttle for one of your daily trips, you’ll still need to budget for taxis to get around. Expect to spend around €70 per day on taxi fares if you actually want the freedom to enjoy your vacation without planning every movement around the hotel’s schedule.
If you’re hoping to do some spontaneous shopping, take a walk, or simply find something to do nearby, forget about it. There is a small convenience store and a local pub where the same customers seem to have held permanent residency for years.
If you get hungry during the day, your best option is to continue being hungry. The hotel’s restaurant doesn’t open until 7:30 PM, and the bar doesn’t open until 5 PM, meaning there is effectively nowhere on the property to buy food, snacks, or even a Coca-Cola for most of the day. When the restaurant finally opens, you can look forward to a dry chicken breast with potatoes, and if luck is on your side, you might even receive a small portion of ketchup.
Breakfast was an experience of its own. Serving dry bread at 7 AM, right when breakfast opens, takes a special level of dedication.
The pool looks considerably larger in the photos. In reality, once four people are in it, it’s basically at capacity. A fifth person would probably require planning permission.
Housekeeping also deserves a special mention.

Location was horrible-nothing around needed a car for meals. Hotel restaurant was good, but closed on Sunday( which we didn’t know).

The room was very comfortable, large, beautiful, it had a door to inside garden with a pool, absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly
The only minus is location. It’s far from city center (45 minutes with a bus) and the bus almost never comes on time and if you miss it, you have to wait for another 30-40 minutes in the evening, which is a trouble

Nice interior design across all the hotel, including the patio garden which is really pretty. Room is comfortable, quite small though. Breakfast is ok.
Location is not very nice. Room had quite a few problems needing repair. Restaurant had been privatised so we could not access. Pool was closed. Interaction with the personnel at reception was not very pleasantl. Shuttle to Florence, which should be very practical, end up not being so because it stops at 7.30pm (can not have diner in Florence)

One of reception staff was quite rude in suggesting someone was ahead of us in the queue when they were actually heading outside and were not in the queue. The room key didn’t work and the plug in the sink got stuck when first used. The pool was closed. Hotel wasn’t really close to anything or any decent transport links

Despite its distance from the city center, the facility is located in a strategic point and it also have private transfers to the centre of Firenze.
The room was perfectly clean and quiet.
