Service at the 5th floor was bad. I waited 10 minutes for a waiter and only could get one after I intervened Twice. Thx were clearly overwhelmed and slow. Very disappointed.
Service generally not what I expected except Front desk.

Wonderful place, incredible common areas, beautiful river view from our room.
A great shame the rooftop restaurant and bar was closed for refurbishment as this was one of the main reasons for booking and it wasn’t made clear at the time of booking it wouldn’t be available.

Eva was a stand out member of staff. There was confusion with the method of payment for the accommodation, which Eva dealt with professionally and to whom we owe gratitude. She was always very helpful and friendly.
Nico the concierge was also extremely helpful and booked tickets for us to visit museums and galleries.
Breakfast was lovely with a selection of various options. Both cold and hot foods available.
Nothing really. It was all very enjoyable.

Location.
Hotel was undergoing some very noisy renovations that we were not informed of before hand. Woke up to drilling sounds at 9 AM and they seem to stop at 3 PM.

The Westin Excelsior is simply the perfect hotel in Florence. The location and service are impeccable. It is an impressive and historic building, beautifully maintained and in spot condition. Beds are so comfortable and sheets are soft. Breakfast includes all the choices you would expect for such a hotel.
We should have stayed longer, 3 nights was not enough.

Location is excellent. The lobby looked very festive and it was very nice during the holiday.
I was surprised to learn that there isn’t a coffee machine in the room. Morning coffee is really important for me while traveling and I wanted to get it from the comfort of my room.
