This hotel is in a fantastic location and is charming, clean, safe, over-accommodating, and very comfortable. The staff is top notch.

The location is superb, just minutes away from Santa Maria Novella, making it very convenient for sightseeing and transport. The building itself is a 1000-year-old historical site, which adds a lot of character and unique charm to the stay. The interior is nice and simple, and the bathroom is exceptionally large (though this may depend on the room type).
There was a noticeable mouldy smell when entering the lobby, which affected the initial impression. The entrance is quite hard to find, and since it only opens at 9am, we had to wait for the staff to arrive because we got there early.

Fantastic location. 12 minute walk from the train station. 3 minute walk to the Central Market. 6 minute walk from the Duomo. Maria at the front desk was so helpful - she even got us an upgrade at the last minute. The most comfortable rooms we stayed in Italy. We had a public balcony next to us with nice views. The welcome drink at the bar was a classy touch. Elevator available. Would definitely stay again.
We were spoiled by the other hotels in Italy where we'd have a contact number of one of the hosts for questions. They only have personnel at the front desk from 9 AM to 5 or 6 PM. But can't knock them as whenever someone was available they were super helpful - especially Maria.

The location was amazing! I love the old world charm. The staff was amazing. Our room as amazing. I loved the library! Absolutely beautiful. Also everything is so close by as well.
The elevator and stairs! That’s my only complaint. But I understand why it’s like that. Still the stairs were brutal at times especially after a tour.

The absolutely great location was within a short walk from all the Florence attractions we wanted to see. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! The wonderful breakfast at the nearby Le Menagerie restaurant was a big bonus! The historic building made our stay that much more meaningful.

We felt very much at home when we stayed at the Artist's Palace. My family enjoyed the area due to our proximity to the major attractions in Firenze. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt comfortable and safe. We highly recommend this hotel.

Love the location, staff and history of the hotel.
Elevator is small so expect to use stairs a lot. Not a problem for my wife and I as we actually prefer stairs.

The Artist’s Palace was wonderful! The location was excellent and convenient to everything we wanted to do. The staff made our stay exceptional! Even before we arrived Silvana helped with restaurant reservations and general questions. Silvana made us feel like so very welcomed! She is a gem!! When Silvana wasn’t on site, Elena was super helpful as well! They are both wonderful!!

Location is amazing, every tourist destination is within a short walk and there are many good restaurants around.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is super big and tasty, more then I could eat. View from the room is beautiful. The building is historical and there's a nice library where you can sit and chat with your friends.
Widows are overlooking a square that is quite noisy during night (it's being cleaned by municipality every day with loud machines), so if you're a light sleeper, earplugs are a must have.
The building is very old, so is the waste pipes I believe, so there was this smell in the bathroom sometimes.

Wow this place is small and beautiful. near the Duomo and walking distance to the bridge vecchio. A nice complimentary aperitif, very nice staff. safe hotel. You could walk from train station, it wouldn't be that far. it felt close to everything we wanted to see.
