Disappointing
Check in experience and checkout was easy. Location was nice. Staff was pleasant.
The room was extremely small, it was advertised as a 172 sq.ft room on Booking.com but at best it was not more than 150 sq. ft including the bathroom area. The wash basin was actually in the room and not in the bathroom. This was not mentioned anywhere. Also there is no elevator to go to the 2nd floor, 5 flights of stairs! The manager was nice enough to help us with our luggage while checking in, but checking out we had to do it ourselves as they are there only from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
I am more disappointed with Booking.com, they have an exaggerated 9.2 rating for this place and I only booked it seeing the high rating. This place deserves an overall rating of no more than 6.0 They shut off the staircase lights at 9:00 pm and it is absolutely dark in the stairwell. Only while checking out we realized there is a switch to turn on the lights, but no one had told us about it. You don't expect lights of public areas to be shut off completely.

We had a good stay at Soggiorno, and the location was good. The staff was really helpful and attentive. They suggested a good tour for us to do outside of Florence.
The early morning chatting in the lobby woke us up. The structure setup allowed for the noise to carry out easily. Very tiny shower. No elevator, so if you have heavy luggage, it can be a bit challenging.

Wonderful
Accommodation was nice and within a few meters from the Mercato Centerale which is a very awesome place to visit, it’s full of different vendors and amazing food!
The location is not in the best area and we didn’t feel safe walking around at night so would recommend something closer to the duomo if you want to feel a little safer with more people around

location
Access to the hotel was terrible, we couldn’t get in, and there was no communication with the front desk. At night, the stairs to the room were dark. The A/C and fridge were very noisy, and the bathroom window was broken and couldn’t be locked.

My friend and I were very satisfied with this stay – it was truly the perfect ending to our trip to Florence! Communication was smooth and responses were quick. The room was well-equipped with disposable toothbrushes and slippers, which was a thoughtful touch. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and we were even able to store our luggage after check-out. Highly recommended!

A bit of a walk from the train station, close to many different areas.
The sidewalks in Florence are narrow and in bad shape especially when walking with luggage. Compared to Rome, the streets and sidewalks with very dirty with alot of litter. I wonder why Florence does not clean like Rome does. Several areas of construction where they were working on the sewer lines for the neighborhood smelled realty bad of raw sewage. The workers should cap and seal at the end of every work day. The street is confusing. The address listed, you get to it, and it is the black section. You need to go the the address in the red section of the street. For a visitor this needs to be made clear.

Located conveniently close to the Mercato Centrale and the Santa Maria Novella train station. All the other sites are within 1km walking distance. The neighbourhood is also quite quiet.

The check in was ok, Daniela was nice, the room was clean and the accommodation was in a great location.
Our window overlooked a "courtyard" about 3x3 metres, so there was not much light coming into our room, but noise from the 3 completely bird-less air conditioners below the window, which was our only view, was all the more. If we didn't have earplugs we probably wouldn't have slept all night. The heating didn't really work either. When we set it to 29 degrees, it seemed to blow a little heat. Pipere article only a negligible amount.

Great location, spacious. Very early 10:30am check out but the staff were very helpful and allowed us to store our bags. Basic but just what we needed. My main issue is that there was a very bad smell in the room, (possibly sewage) which was very potent. Could’ve been a little lower in price.

Fantastic location. Walking distance to Duomo, Museums, etc.
The staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them.
The room was older style and spacious. It had everything we needed. We even tried to stay longer. They were fully booked but helped us to find another close by accommodation.
We over packed as usual so had heavy bags. There are 2 flights of stairs to go up to accommodation. A lift would have made life easier, but obviously the age of the building…
