Very Good
The room we booked was almost a suite, huge, didn't realise when booking it was so large, very lovely. Breakfast had a lovely lady staff member that was very welcoming. Beautiful sitting room in hotel and very cosy bar area.
Unfortunately the dipping pool and spa needs updating bit disappointing, but didn't use it because of time of year visiting but would have been upset if I had come in the summer and wanted to use it, doesn't reflect pictures on booking .com.

Convenient location
The rooms were not like the pictures - was expecting a refurbished room, but the one I got was very old with an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. The staff was helpful and tried to open the window for me (as it was very hard to open and close) to let the smell air out, but it still remained.

The location is excellent, easy for the main train station and all the main sites.
Breakfast was really good… nice selection and all tasty.
Bedroom was clean and comfortable - slept well.
The internet in our room was poor… slow and continually dropping out. It is an old building, with thick walls… so not surprising. But annoying.

The hotel is nice with friendly and attentive staff. Parking (paid) is convenient, with a service that takes and returns the car. Breakfast was good and satisfying.
Room maintenance needs improvement. The bathtub couldn’t be closed to fill with water, the faucet was leaking, and some wall-mounted fixtures were loose. Overall, the bathroom requires significant maintenance.
