We booked the penthouse with the private large deck, which was a highlight. Such a sweet spot to listen to the bells ring and sit in the sun after a long day of shopping and running around. You can't beat the location and as a very important bonus, the beds are very comfortable and the shower in the main room was excellent, great water pressure!
We noticed that if you did not have a window or two open that there is a strong sewage smell that runs through the apartment. As long as you have air flow you don't really notice but when you close the house up and come back from a day out it can be very strong and off-putting. The other complaint I have is that they were very stingy with the towel situation. When we checked in we were given two bath towels and one hand towel and one kitchen towel. I am used to having two towels in my bathroom.... At least a different hand towel. We stayed for four nights and we're due for a cleaning after two nights and I was told that I had to wait for a new towel until the cleaning and they would not give me an extra towel. Seems like a small thing that they could have just easily given to make my stay more comfortable. Overall not that big of a deal but to me it all counts when you are making decisions and booking accommodations.

The view from the spacious, clean penthouse was truly spectacular. Listening to the chiming church bells and overlooking the palazzo vechhio, cityscape and hillside...breathtaking. I doubt that there is a better view in all of Florence.

The location was amazing. Right close to everything. The office staff was very helpful.
The penthouse apartment didn't have the view I expected from the photos of the piazza instead it faced the back, but the real problem was that it smelled horrible up there from all the chimney vents of all the other houses around it. If you are sensitive to smells book something lower in the hotel. It was awful up there at that level with all the exhaust vents from all the food cooking etc.

The location is amazing, right on the edge of the Piazza and what a view, standing on the little balcony looking at the Piazza all lit up at night was amazing. There is a tower next door which you can see from almost anywhere in the city, easy to find your way home at the end of a long night.
Definitely need a better way to explain how to open the door, the lock is confusing, everyone we met in the building agreed.
The beds are firm, but we found the all the beds in Europe appear to be on the firm side, not our style but it was a bed and it was clean.
The instructions were not the clearest, maybe a language barrier? I dont know but we figured it out.

This was our second stay at Relais Piazza Signoria, so we knew it to be central and comfortable - and (even 15 years later) it lived up to the expectation. We found the accommodation (penthouse/3 bed) to be very spacious, clean, well maintained and well serviced. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the aircon was great, the balcony (overlooking the upper floors of Palazzo Vecchio and the rear of the Uffizi's west wings) was lovely, etc. All in all we found it a comfortable, cool and quiet "oasis" in what can otherwise sometimes be a fairly touristy spot.
Granted the options are limited in an old/historic building, but not all in our party appreciated the small elevator/lift. There were also some (very minor) issues with the keys/doors. But, once you have the "knack" it's not an issue. Perhaps not everyone will feel comfortable questioning a potential "tailgater" entering from the street - but doesn't impact overall sense of security...

Wonderful
Surprised we were in the middle of every Florentine sights: the Duomo, the iconic Ponte & Palacho Vecchio, David, the Piazzale Michelangelo, Merkato Centrale and of course the Uffici Gallery. And leather shopping!! We were on pilgrimage and visited hidden and small churches Had our taste of Bestecca alla Florentine, and the heavenly affogato and since craving for it.
Oi it’s pricey, but it was worth it!!

The location could not have been better. The view was charming. The suite was clean, new and spacious. The staff is welcoming and helpful. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
It did not offer a full range of hotel services, such as 24/7 housekeeping or laundry. Nice to have sometimes.

The hotel overlooks Piazza dei Signori and is in the heart of the city with easy walking distance to all sights. The room was fantastic--very spacious and clean. The hotel staff was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will certainly book this hotel when returning to Florence.

The view and location was amazing! The staff was helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The apartment was well stocked with what we might need during our stay-cups, wine glasses, coffee & espresso machines and cooking ware. The beds were also quite comfortable.
I can't think of anything that didn't meet our needs. The only issue was that the desk kindly arranged transportation to the airport for our departure and the taxi never arrived at 4 am for pick up. We were able to flag down another taxi to take us though. That was not the fault of the staff, clearly it was an issue with the taxi company.
