Wonderful
Anna and Francesca were wonderful hostesses. The place was so charming and cozy. The breakfast room was well equipped with dishes, coffee makers, cutlery, apples and a refrigerator. Very charming decor.
I did not like the slippery shiny bathroom tile nor that there was a step up from the sink to the toilet and shower. I was so worried about missing the step and falling. Also at times there was a lot of outside noise from the Old Stove Pub directly below our room.

Wonderful
My husband Tim and I stayed for 3 nights August 2025 and found this boutique hotel in a great location. It was recommended by friends who had stayed last year.
The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and we had views of the good luck pig in the market square.
Air conditioning worked and it was a blessing as it was very hot outside!
Nothing was not to like the interior was a delight - a lot of thought has gone into making the place special!

Location was amazing and Anna was a wonderful host! I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Florence with a desire to stay in the city center. The hotel had complimentary coffee / espresso in the kitchen that you could make yourself. Our room has the most beautiful view and the sunrise was amazing!

So many things we liked! This is a perfect location! You can hear a little music at night from the nearby evening entertainment, but loved it. The bed was very comfortable!! There were extra pillows and blankets which I appreciated. The little fridge was nice and cold. The staff provided lots of ideas for restaurants, sites, and general helpful items.
The shower was a little awkward, but functional and great shower-head.

The room was just lovely, and the breakfast room (though they don't serve breakfast) was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully provided with coffee, espresso machines, many kinds of tea, plates, cups, silverware, and dining table with tablecloth.
We bought ham and cheese croissants for breakfast from the bar right around the corner. Margaret and I enjoyed several meals there and it was so cozy.
Anna was exceptionally kind and helpful. Margaret twisted her foot in the plaza on our first day and Anna found a place (without our asking) we could buy a "walking boot" at an orthopedic store within walking distance.
Upon our arrival, she gave us a kind of orientation with a hand-annotated map showing restaurants and local attractions.
I've never had a hostess who went so far out of the ordinary to be helpful.
The only drawback was the initial 20 stairs leading up from the street to the first landing. From there, you can take the lift to the third floor with your luggage when you first arrive. It was a bit inconvenient hauling our luggage up those stairs when we first arrived, but the rest of the experience made it worthwhile.

What a great location and fantastic friendly hosts! The room was perfectly comfortable in an old building with a large modern bathroom and wonderful shower. The AC worked great and the beds were comfortable. Again, the location was fantastic. I’d stay again without hesitation!
There is one flight of steps up to the first floor elevator, it didn’t bother us but just be aware.

The location is fantastic. Walkable to many sights and close piazzas. Food and markets are close too. We met lovely 'new' friends in the common area and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The accommodations are clean and comfortable!
We enjoyed our stay and the property was as advertised. No complaints.

Anna and Francesca were both warm and welcoming. When I checked in, Anna gave me a map with tips for what to see and where to eat - to avoid bad tourist food. The room was spotless and a nice size. And the location can't be beat - right in the heart of everything. I would heartily recommend this guest house.
This is just personal preference: The bed was too hard, and since it was two single beds pushed together, one "side" (i.e. bed) was more worn in than the other, so it didn't really feel like a double bed - you had to choose one side or the other. But that's just nickpicking.

The property is in a great location, really central and easy to walk a lot of places.
It’s on top of an Irish Pub which is sometimes open until the early hours of the morning, this was quite disturbing at night when you’re trying to sleep.

Disappointing

- We were given a room that was a 5+ inch step down from the hallway. There was no warning sign or floor marker to alert people and we were not warned by any staff of the step-down. My companion tripped and suffered a bad fall when she walked into the room as the staff on duty opened the room door for us.
- The bathroom inside was a big step-up (8 inches up) from the room. It would’ve been safer if a transitional platform/step was installed at the bathroom entrance. It wasn’t pleasant for my companion to go up and down the big step repeatedly during our stay after hurting her knees from the fall when entering the room the first time.
- The shower drain design didn’t allow adequate water drainage and we had to stand in a pool of dirty water during shower everyday.
- The hair dryer was covered by hair. The rubber on the surface was too worn and sticky to be wiped clean so we didn’t use it during our stay.
- There was no safe in room.
