My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. The room was clean and the building is in a perfect location. The AC was very cold, which was amazing in July. We did a few days trips into Venice and Rome. We were able to walk to the train station from here very easily (about a 12 minute walk). It was also a great location when we were in Florence. We could go back to the room to drop things off at any time. There are a lot of stairs but if you just take the first set of stairs up and take the elevator the rest of the way it's not a problem. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!
We didn't have any problems or dislikes during our stay.

We loved the location, short walks to everywhere we wanted to go in Florence. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The community kitchen space was great for making tea and coffee and getting utensils. Very nice and helpful staff.
No complaints. Just be ready to get luggage up one flight of stairs before you reach the elevator.

Room was very well decorated and comfortable, windows were excellent at suppressing the noise from the streets below, even during football.
Owner was very friendly, communication clear and every detail was described perfectly before arrival.
During heatwave it was not difficult to walk to from the tram station and stairs were easy to climb.

The stay was absolutely phenomenal. Great staff that was very accommodating (even with booking taxis), very cool room, soft bed, nice amenities, and centrally located. Cant think of anything else to add. Will be staying here again in future.
Only thing I could possibly say would be the first set of steps leading up to elevator. Lol my wife packs heavy.
Other than this, stay was absolutely perfect.

The location was perfect and the A/C was very welcomed during our hot week in July. Francesca and Anna were very accommodating and helpful with any questions we had. I loved how thoughtfully they decorated everything with really unique pieces and the breakfast room was very useful for us to eat a few of our own meals.

I was beyond impressed with the atmosphere and warm reception I received here. As I told the host Francesca, Relais Cavalcanti is an absolute gem, and I hope to return again before too long. The location is phenomenal – right near Piazza della Signoria and above the famous Porcellino statue and mercato. Yet, the room was quiet and peaceful. After nearly one week there, it felt like home.

The location was amazing. Everything that we wanted to do was within walking distance. The room was very nice and clean. Loved the little kitchen/dining area where you could get coffee. Room was very clean and loved being able to look out and watch and listen to the music at night.

I enjoyed the location & how well I could rest because the Boticelli room was quiet space. I also liked having access to a communal kitchen to be able to meet some other guests.
Watching tv comfortably was challenging because it was on the desk diagonally from beds.

Wonderful
I lived the location and the staff was kind and very prompt to respond to any question. The host even reached out to tell me about local celebrations happening during my stay! It was so close to every neighborhood. I could walk to the river every night to watch the sunset.
The pub outside could be a little loud. But the room had a three layer window. Close it up and you can't hear a thing.

Very Good
The location was nice as it was close to everything in Florence. The room was quiet and nice. In the evening for about an hour there was violin music from the square across from our room - making it very pleasant.

This was my fifth stay at Cavalcanti Guest House, which probably says everything. We stayed for four nights, and once again it felt like coming home. The location in the heart of Florence is perfect — normally it is easiest to arrive by train, but this time we had a car and reserved a nearby garage, which worked out very well.
The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and authentically Florentine. The rooms are charming, comfortable, and full of character, and the hospitality is consistently wonderful. The hosts are wonderful. One thing that I really appreciate are the double windows, so even though the guest house is right in the middle of a busy area, the rooms remain wonderfully quiet. Every stay here reminds me why I keep returning. I would not stay anywhere else in Florence.

Beautiful common rooms, great location in Florence.
My room was above a Pub below. Ask for a room.away from the Pub and it will be a great choice.

Wonderful
Gracious and helpful staff, elegant yet comfortable facility and furnishings, close to main city sights
The entry stairs, tiring to navigate with luggage or after a long day sightseeing. Occasionally outside noise would be audible due to central location but most rooms were effectively soundproofed

The nicest most helpful people run this guest house. It reminded me of Florence from days gone by. Our stay was one of best parts of the trip.

Excellent location. Very centrally located and the rooms were very quiet thanks to the double windows. Also loved having access to the kitchen/dining area to meet as a group, enjoy breakfast, coffee, wine, etc.
Shower enclosure was slightly awkward, but this was a very minor. Everything was great

Wonderful
Breakfast room was nice with a lot of tools for making breakfast drinks. In room frig was a plus. Anna is a friendly host. Close walk to tourist hot spots. Always clean.
Could get loud and difficult to enter the building at night with the close proximity to bustling adjacent bars. Be aware there are a lot of steps. Only one floor or so not accessible from the lift. Not a problem for us, just something to note.

The owner was so sweet and had our rooms ready early for our arrival. She also provided detailed maps with lots of recommendations for us which was so helpful! The rooms were decorated so nicely and were very comfortable. The property was also in such an ideal central location to everything.
Nothing.
