Hotel was very well located in the old center and are a good value. Rooms are compact but clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay again.
Nothing that I would note as not liking

Pleasant
Good location. The staff were very good, marking off map with locations for attractions, restaurants, supermarkets etc. we found this very helpful indeed. They also ordered transport for us. The attitude was kind and helpful.
On our first night we were kept awake by other guests who came back in the early hours. Banging doors and conversing in loud voices which continued into the rooms. The fridge in the room was very noisy, every time the motor cut in it became noisier and the longer the motor remained on the noisier it became. It woke us intermittently through the night. The sink plug did not operate correctly. The water didnt drain as it should. There was also hair beneath the plug.

Everything was delightful. The bedroom was charming, with a very pleasant view from the window. The room was beautifully clean, the bed sheets were a nice cotton and there was lots of hot water from the shower. My room was cleaned promptly every day. The breakfast room is an absolute bonus, a nice place to make a drink or eat a snack before the next museum. The staff are incredibly helpful with maps and knowledge of where to go and when.
The hotel cannot be faulted.

Good
Central location close to major museums and attractions. Fully equipped kitchen in common area.
Noisy neighbourhood - pub downstairs, but didn't affect our sleep much.

Wonderful
Location perfect for bars , restaurants , shops but mainly the beautiful attractions/cultural sites of Florence. Nothing was too far away. Very pretty room and lovely clean bathroom . Friendly and helpful host too
A bath would have been good to relax and soak our weary legs but as this is an old building it is understandable and the shower was good

This guest house is located very centrally in Florence & the location cant be beaten for walkability to all the main sites. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and there is a really well equiped breakfast room you can eat meals in (not just breakfast). The room was a good size for Florence and the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was great. The biggest selling point for this guesthouse however are the staff, who are incredibly welcoming and helpful. They greeted us like old friends and made our stay very special. Thank you!
Not suitable for someone with a mobility disability, as there are quite a few steep steps before you get to the lift (this is quite common in Italy).

The guest house is located in the central part of Florence, so all the main sites are within easy walking distance. The hosts, Ana, Francesca, and Margherita, were very helpful and welcomed us heartily. The room and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable. The facilities in the common room - coffee machine, toaster, microwave oven, kettle, dishes etc. - were very useful. We prepared our own breakfast every morning and had coffee and tea several times every day. We highly recommend Relais Cavalcanti for a visit, or for an extended stay, in the beautiful city of Florence.
Sad to say, there was nothing we didn't like...

Convenient location, close to everything. Great communication with Anna and Francesca before and during the stay. The place is overall charming. Lovely room where guests can enjoy a self-prepared breakfast or light meal (with coffee machines, kettles and toaaters) - but one must do the dishes afterwards. Loved the small fridge in the room.
It is best to avoid the rooms above the Irish pub. It can get very loud until 2-3 am on football nights.
The rooms could also be a bit cleaner.

Location location location. Right above the market, next to all the best attractions in Firenze
Thin walls made the place noisy before going to bed and in the morning, and the the bathroom facilities need improvement

Anna, Maretta? and Francesca very helpful in booking taxis
Location adjacent to and room above noisy Irish pub which is open until 2am. Double Glazing and shutters provided some relief from noisy crowds attending Florence for a European football match.

Wonderful
Loved the location of the Guest house. It was perfect for walking everywhere to museums, tours, and restaurants. The staff were very helpful calling us taxis to get to the train station, explaining the layout of Florence, and even making us reservations at some of the local restaurants all of the nights we were in Florence. There was a room that had a variety of expresso, coffee, and decaf options; as well as different cooking accessories needed if you wanted to make a quick breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend and would stay there again in a heartbeat!
It was a little loud in the morning with different garbage and delivery services but beyond that very quiet. Really don't have anything else negative to say.
