Beautiful location. The building was incredible. Excellent location. My whole party enjoyed this hotel.
It's a lot of stairs. A lot. I guess it's good exercise! They do have a lift but it's a really old one with doors you have to manually close. We used the lift for our luggage.

The staff were very nice and accomodating. The elevator was not working upon our arrival so the Gentleman that checked us in carried our two carryons up to reception. Our room was ready when we arrived at 12:30ish so we dropped our backpacks and they delivered our heavy bags while we were our exploring. The location is on a quiet through street so the noise was minimal but there is no where for a taxi to pull over and wait. Easy walk to the end of the street that took you to Piazza Santa Croce. We made many leather purchases at Misuri across the piazza. :) There was a weekend market set up where we purchased yummy cheese and truffle products before flying out the next day. Great location, bed was pretty firm, beautiful bathroom with a big, hot shower but no where to put your products. No power outlet in bathroom. The light switches are a mystery by the bedside. Oh, and if you open the windows, the AC automatically shuts off. Make sure you reset it. The hotel has 9 rooms. It is beautifully decorated. Classical music plays throughout. Breakfast is a delight with fresh croissants, jams, butter, honey, yogurt, 2 types of cereals, fresh fruit and pastry/cakes. Juices. Coffee made to order and the only place I have seen with a pot of coffee and one of water on a warmer 24/7. I think breakfast runs from 7.30-9.30 but not certain. We were in room 7. It was an enjoyable visit before our flight home.
Elevator was hit and miss. Four flights of stone staircases if someone didn’t shut the door all the way. Towel warmer did not work, the AC wasn’t working the first night we were there. It made up for it on night two when we woke up to a meat locker temperature. Same as night before but just functional now. The bedside light “buttons” were impossible to sort out. No power plug in the bathroom for hair tools. The hair dryer was hard-wired in so I had to use my converter extension cord in the plug by the door, put my flat iron into that and use the mirror on the closet with the light directly overhead. Not ideal, but workable. The “mini bar” was warm even tho it was on the highest setting. When I mentioned it, I was told it wasn’t a refrigerator but a mini bar. I don’t know anyone that wants to drink warm champagne, white wine, or beer, so that was below standard. The lighting was very dim and yellow (except for the entry and wardrobe leds). No where to put shower items. Had to leave it on floor.

The location was excellent. We were within easy walking distance to all the main attractions in Florence. The area directly surrounding the hotel had plenty of delicious cafes, restaurants and gelaterias to choose from. The hotel itself was in a cute alleyway and was very secure. The staff was very helpful with scheduling taxis and recommendations for sightseeing.

The location was excellent, vey close to Santa Croce square. Interior of the hotel is beautiful. Breakfasts were a great value, good food.
Flight of stairs inside room door to get to room, not in listing (room #9). Fragrance in sitting area was too strong.

The décor is nice and the bed was comfortable, and one staff member genuinely tried to help by replacing the silicone and bleaching the bathroom. Unfortunately, these were only temporary cover-ups. Black mold is deeply infested throughout the drains, shower walls, and even behind the door frame. No amount of surface cleaning can fix such a widespread problem.
Avoid this hotel at all costs – it is a serious health hazard.
Every washroom in every room we were shown was infested with black mold. The first room (with a sauna) reeked of mold from the moment we entered, but since we checked in late, we were forced to tolerate it overnight. The smell was so overpowering that we couldn’t comfortably use the washroom.
The next day, staff moved us to another room — we picked the one with the least visible mold. Staff attempted a quick fix by scraping and reapplying silicone in the shower, but the smell from the drains returned immediately and became unbearable when we used the shower. The stench triggered severe headaches and sinus pain, ruining our stay.
What’s worse: the hotel denies the presence of mold despite it being visibly obvious, and refused a refund. Even Booking.com was unhelpful in relocating us despite the clear health hazard.
This experience was not just disappointing — it was unsafe, stressful, and completely ruined part of our honeymoon. Please protect yourself and your loved ones and choose a different l

This was a small hotel that really delivered! The staff were very welcoming. The rooms were updated with cool AC system (which isn't as common in Italy as it is in the US) and very clean and cozy. My favorite parts of our stay was the hidden tower included in our room AND the smell of the entire building -- there's a perfumery in the same building as the hotel so it always smelled so, so nice throughout the day. Florence is small, so most hotels are close to many sites, but this hotel was across the alley from a nice restaurant and a wine window. We loved it here.

This hotel is truly a hidden gem. It’s located above a perfume shop and they have diffusers from them throughout the hotel, so it truly smells amazing. The hotel is quiet and calm, yet located right in the heart of all the action just a few steps away. It feels homey and warm here. I truly didn’t want to leave. The rooms are gorgeous, clean, the showers were great, the beds comfortable, amazing AC. They have someone come pick up your car and park it for you in the garage which was so nice because driving in Florence was a bit stressful so I was very grateful. It felt safe and secure too which was important cause I was alone for the last 2 nights. Breakfast was amazing - everything they did felt so personal and thoughtful. I truly loved my stay here and will definitely be back.

The entrance to the hotel was not easily seen from the street. When we first arrived we walked past the door before we realized where the entrance was. Maybe a overhanging street sign would be helpful.

The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The AC worked very well which was fantastic after a long flight, and we stayed very comfortable with the high outdoor temps. the bathroom was spacious and the location of the hotel was central but no outside noise could be heard.
My Only disappointment was not understanding the "VIEW" was up a flight of stairs that led to an unaircondioned room that was too hot to stay in July. I did not fully read the description to understand the view was not from the room. However it was a beautiful view and would be wonderful for most months of the year. I would stay here again.
