The location was perfect and the hotel an oasis from the city pace. We could walk to many of the historic sites, shopping and restaurants. The staff was friendly and accomodating.

Wonderful
The staff were very friendly and helpful when we checked in. We were pleasantly surprised that our room had a walkout balcony. For breakfast, we liked that there were fresh fruit options.

High quality, consistent AC--in mid August, with daily highs over 100 Fahrenheit, we chose this place for its A C and its green space, and its pool. This was our oasis and refuge on hot days of touring. Our room on the courtyard was quiet all ten days and nights.
It's very pricey, but absolutely a wonderful value all the same.

Breakfast was outstanding! Very GOOD!
Downside, If traveling with kids the pool/spa area is great, but they don’t like kids being kids. You have to be very quiet no playing or splashing even during the kids hours which are up until 2pm.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My favorite part of the hotel was the beautiful courtyard where you could go to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.
There wasn't really anything that we didn't like about the hotel. If I could find one thing that wasn't optimal it was the bathroom. After showering everything would be wet because of all the condensation that would build up on the tile.

Very Good
Property is close to train station (7-10 minute walk), central market (5 minutes), duomo/Uffizi (they are right next to each other 10-15 minutes), Pitti Palace (15-20 minutes walk). Where the hotel is located isn’t the nicest part of town but perfectly fine and with a big park across the street that has a great flea market every three weeks (on the weekends) if you hit it at the right time.
The sounds carry in the hotel. People next door, people upstairs… so if you are sensitive to noisy, be sure to ask for a courtyard room (away from the street). There is a spa that requires booking in advance that’s a bit underwhelming and a bit small. They emphasize the spa in their description a lot but this is not a property that I would stay at for a spa experience.

Camilla, the best waitress ever! Always smiling, kind, helpful, fast, and always going above and beyond what was expected. It was always a pleasure to see her.
On our last day, we had to leave very early so the hotel packed us a beautiful to-go breakfast.
constantly paying for water.

The breakfast was a five-star rating! The breakfast offered so many different varieties that suited several different cultures. The location was perfect, a little off the beaten path, but still close to everything. Everywhere you looked, there were people cleaning. The place was spotless. The room was spacious and had a balcony that overlooked the garden. I highly recommend these accommodations. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. If we return to Italy, we will definitely book this facility again.

Palazzo Castri is my go-to hotel in Florence. Just a short walk from the train station, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is polite and helpful, the restaurant is excellent and the jacuzzi pool is a wonderful place to relax after a long day of walking around the city.
