Classic Italian hotel. Very grand, large reception - good facilities ie gym. Pool was closed due to time of year. The staff are mostly friendly at reception. The hospitality in Italy is quite good, not as warm as Greece, but still they are very nice and helpful when you ask them questions. I found them to be straight to the point, some friendlier than others. The friendliest were the breakfast staff, in particular Gustavo - I came to breakfast at 9.57am and he got me a coffee and seated me. He made me feel very welcomed and respected. Gustavo is a lovely restaurant staff, I think he should be manager. He was saying bonjourno to everyone and the ladies at the breakfast were also very friendly. Gustavo was a highlight of the hotel.
I am very happy with the breakfast too and the service.
Location is not central BUT the hotel is very large. The hotels in the city are very small. I prefer this location because the bus is 20 minutes and very good exercise to walk from bus stop to hotel.

Excellent parking. Great rooms.
It is far from what you would go to Florence to see, but that's why we had a car. Breakfast was the same every day, and it didn't have many vegetable choices.

Very nice staff, old school hotel (in a good way), good breakfast (considering the reality in Italy. Never expect grand breakfast buffets like in some other countries), clean, plenty of parking, acceptably close to bus and tram stops.
