Cute authentic little place. We booked a room with an external bathroom, however, the lovely owners upgraded us to an available room with a bathroom inside. The owners were very nice and helpful in suggestions on where to eat, what sights to see, etc. They also let us store our luggage there after we checked out.

Had a short walk down the street to a pastry shop, but food was good and shop had an inside sitting area. Plus the shop people spoke English and were helpful with pastry selection.
Construction at at of the street prevented Taxis from picking us up in front of Locanda, but we just walked to the next block over.

We only received the breakfast one morning. The location was what we needed ;the couple that ran the place were so accommodating very helpful to our needs.. helped us get to where we had to go and made sure we were able to leave and come. They were wonderful, especially after we had experienced beforehand at Redidenzia. perfect hosts!

The common area was neat and well stocked with food/snacks and drink.
I didn't like the fact that our "private bathroom" was actually down the hall with access from a hallway door... making it less than private. This part of the experience tainted our stay in Florence, as being that we typically need the use of the facilities at times in the middle of the night... and this required exiting our room in the middle of the night to walk down the hallway hoping not to stumble upon another guest in another room.

Such wonderful hosts, the best we have met in all our travels! And a great location , quiet room, reasonably big for a city hotel, just wonderful.
There are some roadworks and building being done nearby - end of May 2025 - but that’s life in the city…

Hosts were amazing. They first sat down with us to understand the sights we planned to visit and then printed a customized map with travel routes to help us navigate. All in all, were exceptional. Breakfast vouchers were presented for use at a neighboring restaurant for an authentic Italian breakfast experience. Room was architecturally preserved though updated.

The owners, Francesco and Mira are WONDERFUL! Friendly and supportive to understand why you are there and what they can do to offer recommendations to accommodate. The room was cozy and clean. Florence is easily walkable and the location is convenient to attractions. Breakfast is not on site, it's a small pasticceria just a few steps away. We found the locals loved it for a reason. It's near other small eateries and a small square that was bustling with activity.

Fantastic hosts, fantastic location. We appreciated the friendliness, advice and helpfulness of the hosts!
Location is ideal in the center of Florence. Breakfast was delightful - loved having coffee with the Florence locals. You can't get any better than this :-)
We had a challenge finding the right house because there are two numbers on the houses on that street. Our rrom was the only room on the floor with a private bath in the hallway. We had everything we needed, but next time we stay here, we'd prefer an in-room bathroom
