This hotel is really well located - within walking distance of the centre and main attractions. Exceptional staff who bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had expected a bigger room than we initially had been allocated however, the staff went over and beyond to relocate us when a bigger room became available and were very gracious. I’d also encourage guests to take advantage of the spa especially Daniella’s gifted massage hands - an absolute must after a trek around the city! Matteo at the reception desk couldn’t have been more helpful.
Not a dislike per se, but guests staying for longer than a couple of nights might find the modern sleek monochrome decor a bit too minimalist.

The breakfast was amazing. The staff were accommodative and extremely friendly.
It is situated outside of the city center. Minimum 20 minutes walking distance to ponte vecchio. 15 minutes to santa croche. I didn’t like the room. There was only a small window, no view. A/C wasn’t working as it was too early in the season but it was already 25C degrees and warm. Room was next to a construction site and very noisy. We asked for a nice view or a possible upgrade, the reception was going to look into it. Instead we were offered the worse room. In my opinion it doesn’t earns a 5 star hotel rating.

Room was superb (we even got a free upgrade to a suite), breakfast ( the inner courtyard is perfect), staff was super friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work.

In the first days the AC was not working, but it was immediatelly fix after our request.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, very professional! Nice small spa area with hammam, sauna and indoor jacuzzi.
Very poorly soundproofed doors and walls. I got woken up several times during the night by other guests or children. Does not live up to the 5 stars! Beds are quite short, you’ll have issues if you are taller than 1.85m

I think the hotel is a good 3 stars/low 4 stars definitely not a 5stars
My room was in a basement, no aircon functioning. The information on booking about the parking is misleading. They only have public parks on front of it and a valet service which takes 1h to bring the car back. Their attitude is to mislead people. The parking is like the 5 star thing.

Wonderful
What makes River Hotel unbeatable is not the fact that it has the best location in Florence (close enough to walk to the city but far enough to avoid the noise and crowds), nor that it is really beautiful and clean (it is amazing), but the fact that it has the most kind, supportive and serviceable staff.
From the reception, breakfast area, valet parking, etc, everybody was really helpful and kind. They solved every request exceeding expectations and working hard to take care of luggage, restock food, take care of our car, find a pharmacy or whatever was needed at the moment. Would definitely choose them again if going back to Florence.
We were hoping to use the spa in the morning so the fact that it only opens from 3 PM made us feel really disappointed which forced me to give you a 9 instead of the 10 you deserve.

Great stay! The hotel was clean and comfortable, but the highlight was the amazing concierge service. Huge thanks to Adel and Matteo for their outstanding help—friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. They really made the experience special!

The hotel was absolutely lovely. Close to the river Arno and all the magnificent art that Florence has to offer. The little issues were quickly resolved and our room was beautiful. We only had breakfast option but the food was fantastic and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay so enjoyable.
