Florence was our destination to a week of celebration and I selected IL Tornabuoni hotel because of its unique room styles and great view, it is not mentioned in the room description, but my room had an incredible view of Florence and we could and we certainly did enjoy the sunset from our bedroom windows in the 4th floor. I reserved their rooftop bar to throw a cocktail party for my husband's birthday which was outstanding, from the time we booked the room to the day of the event, we were in contact with Daria, the reservation agent of the hotel which she did disappoint with all her knowledge and attention in every detail for a perfect afternoon, being open to discuss about the event. Her and her team did an amazing job organizing, serving, taking care of us all and specially enjoying the night with us, Miro with his abilities as DJ, Samuel and Anita with their kind touch serving our 25 guests and Scilla with her delicious cocktails (keeping everyone happy). Room service was great and on point. The staff at the front desk, especially Nicolo, very helpful and ready for any question that we might have had.
Not that we didn't like, but we were a little disappointed, it was the food at the hotel. We were expecting a little more of it since it is a 4 star hotel.

I loved it. Our room and bed were very comfortable. Very clean. Loved the colors. The staff were so friendly. The location was excellent.
The first room had a sewage smell. The staff was quickly responsive and changed our room.

The location was exceptional. Everything was within walking distance. And day trips were a breeze. The staff were so friendly and the interiors of the hotel were absolutely stunning. Loved the bartenders at the rooftop and lower bar. The morning breakfast was delicious.
The parking is expensive. For what we paid per night it was unexpected. We stayed at almost all five star hotels while in Italy and were not charged for parking, even at a four starr, so that was a disappointment.

The location is great, the building is beautiful and the lobby as well.
The rooms were very busy, lots of clutter and lots of busy print wallpaper, strange paintings of bugs. The bathrooms were very tired, the towels were hard and the sheets didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel.

- overpriced for the level of service and quality
- tiny bathroom (barely fits one), and no pressure shower
- we never saw any staff other than the doormen (who do a very good job) and the concierge (located on the 4th floor, very mediocre service, didn’t have pull to get us any reservations at key places).
- no hospitality / human experience, it could very much be an airbnb.

The staff , the location and the overall. ambiance
The bathroom was awkward with the a single sink located in the sleeping area and not in the bathroom with the toilet and shower.The shower was on the small size.
The breakfast options were either a limited continental or a limited buffet.I must say however the staff went out of their way to accommodate us.
Musicians performing on the square could be annoying at times given they played until approximately 10:30 at night.
Overall it’s a very nice hotel.
