From the moment I arrived, the welcome and reception were warm and professional.
As I was celebrating a special occasion, the hotel kindly upgraded me to a suite, which I truly appreciated.
Cleanliness was outstanding, the breakfast was excellent, and the room was elegant and fully equipped with everything one might need.
The minibar was completely free and refilled daily, which was a very nice touch.
I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Florence.
There are absolutely no negative points, and I highly recommend this hotel.

We’ve been to Florence many times but had never stayed at this hotel. The location is perfect! Everything is within walking distance - some places like the Duomo - are literally around the corner. We’ll be back again and most surely will be staying at the Spadai again.

Everything! Staff was outstanding! Super helpful and accommodating. Location was great! Loved the stocked mini fridge with waters and a couple of Cokes - great touch of hospitality. The breakfast offering was the best! Delicious, with beautiful presentation and choices. The room was beautifully appointed. We also appreciated the TWO luggage racks in the room. Too often luggage racks are overlooked - crazy because they’re a great amenity for travelers.
1. Bathrooms - need more counter space for traveler’s toiletry kits.
2. A full length mirror near the suite door would be great.

Wonderful Stay at Hotel Spadai – Perfect Location & Great Breakfast
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Spadai! The room was very comfortable and spotless—an ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring Florence. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore) and within walking distance of many other historic churches and landmarks. The breakfast buffet was superb, offering a wide variety of food options in a relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect way to start the day and a lovely way to end our trip. An added bonus was that both the minibar refreshments and breakfast were included in the room rate, which really made Hotel Spadai stand out from other hotels. Highly recommend Hotel Spadai to anyone visiting Florence!

Right next to the Duomo, we heard & saw the bells ring from our room, just magical. The decor is luxe and the rooms are generously appointed. The beds were the most comfortable we experienced in Italy.
A few staff were short and curt. Our towel heater wasn’t working and they said it will from 6am to 8am every morning. When ours didn’t work, I called again and I was blown off like it was no big deal. She finally asked someone and said that they don’t turn them on this time of year. That was a big inconvenience since I had some clothes hand washed that I ended up having to pack up wet.
When we came back later to get our bags, I was denied use of the bathroom.

Everything went very well. The front desk staff was extremely helpful in answering questions, calling taxis, giving information and advice about Florence, and more. The bar and Happy Hour was fantastic with a great bartender and excellent snacks. Breakfast was one of the best we have seen in Europe. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was great and kept well stocked with toiletries and towels. Having daily refilled waters and snacks in the room for no extra charge was an unexpected and very welcome bonus. The location of the hotel was unbeatable. Essentially everything we wanted to visit (museums, restaurants, markets, etc.) was within a 10-15 minute walk in some direction.
No suggestions for improvement.

We loved everything about this place! From the moment we arrived until we left, everyone was super courteous.
They have a lot of perks for the guests from free champagne, happy hour and amazing breakfast. Facility is well maintained in a fabulous location.
I wish we stayed here longer.

The hotel is nicely built (or recently remodeled), very well maintained and conveniently located. It has a small observatory deck with a 360 deg view of the city. The staff is professional, polite and helpful. The rooms are very clean, spacious, with high ceilings and plenty of space to move around. The included breakfast buffet is exceptional. It was well worth it.
