Where do I even start? Hotel Spadai was the absolute stand out of our Italy trip. We have travelled all over and this hotel was the best we experience. Upon arrival, we were early and they held our bags. When we returned to check in, we got upgraded to a Junior Suite. This room, blew us away. It was phenomenal. It was spacious, it was exceptionally clean, bathroom was huge and the bed was like laying on a cloud. The amount of walking we had done throughout our massive Italy trip melted away when we laid in this bed. It was the most relaxing, quiet and beautiful haven away from the hustle and bustle of Florence. It was amazingly located, only 2 mins from the Duomo, it was a hub for easy attraction access. Less than 20mins walk from the train station. The included breakfast was a stand out, it was all homemade pastries and savoury options, we were spoiled for choice. I would consider living in this hotel full time if it were an option. We were so sad to leave. Would 10/10 recommend this to anyone.

The location was awesome as was the food for breakfast. The manager at the breakfast place was fantastic and Francesco at the bar was awesome as well.
The room was very small for two people, and the shower door didn’t shut all the way, so you had a little bit of water on the floor, but the hotel was exceptional

Location was in the middle of all the main tourist attractions but that also made it a very busy place full of people. Great if you like that environment. The breakfast was great with lots of options. The staff was kind.
I feel like it was a little overpriced.

I chose this hotel solely based on other reviews so I was really hoping it would live up to the ratings and it definitely did! This is a lovely boutique hotel minutes from the Duomo. The location could not have been better for having a centrally located place! It was easy to walk to and from our hotel and go back if we forgot something or just needed a breather between sightseeing. The room was amazing! We had 4 of us so I booked a room with two queen beds (not easy to find in Europe!) and they upgraded us to a two bedroom suite with two bathrooms. This was such a nice surprise and perfect for our college-age kids to have their own space. I would highly recommend this room for families if you can swing it! Great bed, beautiful bathrooms, robes, slippers, great bath products, free snacks and drinks in mini fridge which they stocked daily (just remember to hang the sign on your door before you leave for the day that you want your room cleaned), great air conditioning, apertivo spread at 6pm in the bar/lounge. One of the highlights in addition to the beautiful room and amazing staff was definitely the incredible breakfast! A huge selection of delicious food and the most welcoming staff who brought me my cappuccino right away! The food was all delicious and even motivated our young adult daughters to wake up early enough to eat before our sightseeing tours started. We have since stayed at other hotels in different cities on our Italy trip and this was our nicest stay by far (plus Florence is so great)!
