Location was close to train station, but also to all the key locations in Florence. Staff were amazing and very helpful and suggesting and booking restaurants.

The proximity to the train station. the staff is very nice.
This was our third time in Florence. The first time, 11 years ago, we stayed at this same hotel when it was called the Sempione. It was much better than it is now after the renovations. For starters, the bathroom is right across from the bed, which is not convenient. One day at breakfast, there was no bread; we had to ask for it, and they gave us sliced bread. Coming to Italy to eat sliced bread? No thanks. That same day, there weren't many options; they were out of fruits. Honestly, the breakfast was very meager. The street where the hotel is located has changed a lot. There are many vacant storefronts covered in graffiti, and it's very dirty. In fact, many parts of Florence are extremely dirty now. We came with higher expectations for the hotel.
