This hotel was in the center of Florence. It was easy to access everything on foot. I loved the front desk staff, who went out of their way to help us make dinner reservations. Breakfast was top notch.

This was a great choice for us ( 4 adults and 3 children) in Florence. We arrived and departed Florence by train so the location was perfect. The location is also perfect for exploring the city’s sites. The hotel while an antique on its own is beautifully maintained and has all of the modern conveniences. The staff is extremely helpful. After returning our checked luggage for departure they forgot a shopping bag holding our accumulated purchases. While it was both of our failures to notice they shipped the package back home to the US with no questions.

Check in was quick and we were escorted directly to our room. The front desk staff spoke great English, but I also heard Italian (obviously) as well as Spanish and German. It was quite impressive! The room was beautiful with a walk in shower. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings. While the breakfast room was quite full, the staff worked quickly to ensure that everyone had what they needed. The offerings were varied and fresh. This is our go-to hotel in Florence. You can't beat the location on Piazza Santa Maria Novella.

The location was very good. The hotel was lovely. The room was spacious.
The room did not have a nice view. Breakfast could have been improved maybe with a little more variety of proteins. Also there were often delays on replenishing scrambled eggs and bacon when they ran out.

The location of the hotel was amazing. Perfectly central and easy to walk to everything. No need to book a taxi, there are restaurants, shops, etc. everywhere around it. Easy walk to Duomo and uffizi.
No AC in winter so room was very warm without window open (no screens). We slept great but did crack our windows every night. Being an old hotel and we were on the 3rd floor we found the room very stuffy without doing this.
