Beautiful property within easy walking distance from train station and all major attractions. Hotel was beautifully appointed. Room was clean and spacious. Wonderful breakfast with attentive staff. A very pleasant stay

Central location on the Piazza Santa Maria Novella, 5 mins walk from the station.
Very comfortable and well equipped room, great view of the piazza. Hotel staff excellent and very welcoming and could not do enough to help - for example, booking tables in recommended restaurants. Superb!
Could be a bit noisy at night in the piazza but that is to be expected!

Location is great but that’s all that’s good.
Staff were “grumpy” to say the least. The size of the shower was ridiculously small. My 6’2” partner could not move to wash himself. We had to request the air conditioner to be turned on. The hairdryer didn’t work. The paint was peeling off the bed head. I have stayed here previously and it has not aged well at all.

We arrived by car and this was the only slight complication, due to the excellent location of the hotel. However the staff were extremely helpful with directions and we were eventually able to park for a limited time outside of the hotel while the car was collected. It was not clear from the booking but parking is not at the hotel and it is a paid extra. This was explained clearly once the hotel was contacted prior to arrival. It was well worth paying for, 49Euro for 24 hours and E4/hour thereafter. Given the location the is well worthwhile. The hotel is right on the square in a great spot with restaurants right outside if wanted. The hotel is extremely smart inside and has a boutique feel about it. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The lobby is stylish as is the lounge area. The rooms are comfortable, a double a good size for a few nights and well equipped with all comforts. Breakfast was excellent with all that you could need and again the staff were perfect. In all for a few nights in Florence this is the perfect spot to stay and great value.

The staff is very kind and accommodating. One of the staff even showed me the old frescos on the wall on the first floor, which were very beautiful! The location is excellent, as it is only a short walk away from the tram to go to the airport, and close enough to the city center that walking everywhere is very doable. The location on the square was beautiful too. The room was tidy and comfortable. The beds were clean and the shower was lovely to use. There is a decent breakfast spread as well.
The room was quite hot and the thermostat/AC didn't seem to work.

We had the opportunity to upgrade to a superior room, which overlooked the piazza. It was beautiful. The staff were amazing as was the rest of the hotel.
Breakfast was plentiful and the location superb.
We got off the train from Pisa, walked to the hotel and everything was in walking distance from then on. New Year was spectacular.
We'd highly recommend staying.
The pillows were very hard.

The interior of the hotel is huge and inviting. Our room was immense with very high ceilings and had everything important to us - a safe, 2 luggage racks, a huge wardrobe with enough hangers, a king-size bed, desk, sofa, and a comfortable armchair. The bathroom had everything necessary with high quality towels, soap, and lotion. The only thing I did not like was the shower (see below). The view on the piazza was great although in the summer with the windows open, it could be quite noisy at night because of all the restaurants below. The breakfast room was lovely and breakfast was delicious.
The only thing I did not like was the shower, which only had a curtain around a space on the floor (resulting in water flooding the entire floor each time we used it).
