We went to Florence for the first time. We chose Hotel Roma Firenze primarily because of its great location (all important historical monuments were within walking distance within 10-15 minutes). We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. But in the end, this hotel pleasantly surprised us, because it offers more than just a good location. The hotel is located in a small square where you can park for 30 minutes (then you need to move the car to a garage, of which there are several in the area or use the hotel service, which will take care of everything). The room was ready on time, it was even completely sterilized before our arrival. From the window we had a view of the Palazzo Vecchio, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiori and the surrounding rooftops. As for toiletries, the hotel offers shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes, bar soaps, shaving supplies, but they don't have body lotion and conditioner. Fortunately, there was a supermarket nearby, so we bought it there. Free mineral water was available. We didn't have a coffee maker or a tea kettle in the room. But we could make coffee and tea in the breakfast room at any time of the day. The hotel doesn't have a hotel restaurant, so you can't eat there except for breakfast, and it doesn't even have a bar-its shame. The entire staff from the reception, waiters, housekeepers were very nice and the atmosphere in this hotel was pleasant and family. Our stay was also booked with breakfast, which was richer for Italy than we expected (fresh cakes, hams, salami, cheeses, fruit, vegetables, eggs and much more - I was most interested in the pistachio spread-real delicious and I have never seen this before in other Italian hotels). During our check out, the reception kindly offered us water for the way home and the children received Firenze-themed chocolates. If you are looking for a pleasant hotel at a great price in the center of Florence (compared to other 4* hotels), we definitely recommend it.

Love Hotel Roma! they upgraded my room to face the square! I slept w/ the windows open, and listened to the city below! Such a beautiful experience. The staff was so accommodating and breakfast was a perfect way to start my day. Thank you!

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is beautiful, our room was lovely and very comfortable. You cannot beat the location as the hotel is ideally situated to explore Florence and beyond.
Ideally, it would have been nice if the hotel had a bar area where you could sit at the end of a long day sight seeing and sip on a cold drink. The breakfast was sufficient, however the scrambled egg was cold.

The room was a bit small and the stairs down to the bathroom were a bit dangerous. The lights on the stairs don't come on until one is already at the bottom of the steps, and the automatic lights don't stay on long enough. One of the bedside reading lights did not work. Breakfast was a bit lacking, with machine-made cappuccino. The rooms with the terrific view are a bit noisy, both day and night.

Close to the station as well as the cathedral; the location is good that we can walk to every single attractions. The room is decent and clean. The breakfast has many options and the breakfast room looks nice. The staff is very helpful.
