First room offered was dark attic room. Slanted low ceilings we refused it. The second room offered was a large king size bedroom… The only problem was it was right next to reception on the first floor. It was noisy and more importantly the bathtub was dangerous, dangerously slanted, and very hard to get in and out. The staff was great they could get taxis. They were very happy to accommodate us, but the room situation was not good
The location was very nice along the park. It was a bit out of the way to access most of the tourist attractions and walk the streets, but we manage nicely and frankly the Regency hotel has passed its charm as a grand Dame It’s rather shabby. Particularly the bathrooms.

We loved the location! It was in walking distance to everything but still quiet (near the park). We also really appreciated the great breakfast, friendly staff, and comfortable room! The hotel is also really beautifully decorated, clean, and well-maintained. We would definitely return when we’re back in Florence.

The staff were exceptionally attentive and caring, even remembering my son’s name to greet him every time we saw someone. The hotel is beautiful, staying here was like traveling back in time to a vintage luxury. We were supplied robes and slippers, and they even supplied a children’s robe and teddy bear slippers for my son, which shows how caring the staff is. This was the best hospitality service we have received, and we have traveled the world! Also, the restaurant downstairs served some of the best food i’ve ever had, loved the tasting menu!
The location is a little questionable, but that is not under the control of the hotel. If you take a taxi into the downtown areas, it is a well-worth it short ride.

Good location in a quiet but central area. You can walk from there to most of the historical sites in the city. Valet parking was very convenient. The breakfast is good with excellent service although they charge extra for egg dishes which hotels of similar level offer free of charge.
When we arrived at the hotel we did not get the room we booked but were told we got an upgrade. In practice we were sent to the only room in the hotel which is on the ground floor between the offices and the warehouse. The room was noisy, the windows could not be opened because they face the street and the shower was very outdated and only with a shower head and no hand shower. One wall of the room borders the warehouse or the parking lot and from time to time there was a banging on the wall which was very disturbing. Our request for another room was met with refusal and they even expected us to thank them for giving us a room with a large bed than we had booked. But we were not interested in such a bed but in a quiet room and certainly not to get the room that seems to be the worst in the hotel.

An outstanding stay at Hotel Regency! The staff truly went above and beyond, with personal touches throughout our visit that made all the difference. From the thoughtful snacks upon arrival to the water bottles when we checked out, they clearly took extra effort to ensure our comfort. The service was excellent across the board, with daily cleaning and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They even remembered us and greeted us by name, which made it feel extra special. The breakfast was also a highlight—fresh and delicious! Highly recommend for a memorable stay in Florence!

Overall good.
Having to walk upstairs 3 floors to the room. I’m 77 years old and have some walking limitations. The other option with elevator only offered a Queen size bed and small room when we had requested 2 double beds, which they gave us on the room we occupied. But the stair walk was difficult.

The general attitude of all the staff who couldn't have been more friendly, professional or attentive. The location was perfect for us, just a few minutes walk away from all the attractions but far enough away to be peaceful. A really good breakfast was included.
