Excellent hotel, friendly and competent staff. Room amenities were very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. All around a great experience.
I didn’t realize that the hotel was right around the corner from a tram stop from the main train station. Don’t make this mistake a transport luggage by foot.

We absolutely loved the vibe of this hotel, it felt very nostalgic and chic. As soon as you walked in the staff were always available and happy to assist. The breakfast buffet was amazing, my favorite part was the buttery croissants and the made to order a coffee menu. There’s also a small bar with a great bartender who suggested grappa for my husband who was a bit under the weather when we first arrived. They also have afternoon tea time with even more free goodies to enjoy before you head out for the evening.
Showering was a challenge as the temperature would change from hot to cold every few minutes. The hot was extremely hot so I had to step out from under it and vice versa when it got cold. I tried taking a tub bath but it was a challenge to move around (I’m 65 and never take tub baths) because the tub is not wide or standard US size.

The hotel is a quaint boutique establishment located just minutes from the train station. Also within walking distance to the Central Market. Hotel staff are great and attend to your needs during your stay. Bryan at the front desk speaks good English, and Jeff handles a variety of tasks, including breakfast and tea service in the afternoon from 4-6 pm.
Great hotel. It is small and on the perimeter of the downtown local tourist areas. There is nothing bad about this hotel. Don't let the map fool you into thinking it is too far away from walking. Also, it is a short walk to the Accademia Gallery of Florence, where the David statue is located.
