Bathroom shower drainage is nonfunctional to block sewer odors to enter room. The smell seems to be in all rooms as the smell is everywhere.

Such a quaint & lovely B&B beautifully decorated providing excellent value for money (considering we were out sightseeing most of the time (5night stay)
Porta Faenza is centrally located within v easy reach of major attractions. The hotel’s location has everything you need in terms of local amenities. It’s very clean and the bathrooms are amazing. Still can’t get over the incredible water pressure in the shower! Haha The breakfast buffet caters for all tastes. It’s very good whether continental or cooked. Great choice of pastries too. There is a lift but we chose to use the lovely stairwell instead :)No Parking onsite but available at reduced rates via hotel, although still v expensive. We found The Parterre car park to be a much better option @ €15 per day as opposed to €35
Nonetheless, do not hesitate to book this B&B. The staff are very friendly & helpful & Firenze will definitely not disappoint! We will definitely be returning to Porta Faenza. Grazie Mille!

Wonderful stay at Hotel Porta Faenza. The location is excellent, very close to the train station and within easy walking distance of the main sights. The staff were kind and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. A charming and cozy place to stay in Florence.

Location is great, the hotel is clean, breakfast was great and the only place in Italy to get an American sized coffee. This was the best hotel we stayed at in all of the cities we’ve visited in Italy.
