A good location close to the station and not far from the main sights. A lovely old building and very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good with a extremely wide choice.
The lock on the door was difficult to use and the bed could have been a bit more comfortable.

The hotel had character, I loved that the building was historic having been built in 15th century. Quirky. Very clean, substantial breakfast with plenty of choice. Friendly welcoming staff, excellent location.

The reception staff were helpful and friendly and we were walking distance from everywhere.
Our room was on the first floor overlooking a busy restaurant on a main street, so it was very noisy and hot. The air conditioning was even noisier, the sink in the bathroom smelled of drains the whole time we were there, the room was not cleaned properly while we were there and the smell wasn't addresses apart from pouring bleach down the drain. The reception staff said they needed to get a plumber but one didn't arrive.

The view from our bathroom - absolutely stunning! The location is also perfect - exactly half way between the train station and most of the sights.
The noise of the lifts if you are in a room close to them.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was a great size, beautifully presented, and spotlessly clean, making it a very comfortable place to relax after a day of exploring. The breakfast was truly amazing, with a lovely courtyard setting that made each morning feel special.
What really stood out was the staff — the most friendly and helpful we’ve encountered during our time in Italy. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their warm service made a big difference to our overall experience.
The location is excellent, making it easy to get around and enjoy everything nearby. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others. Overall, a fantastic experience.

The hotel is located in the hearth of the old town within 10-15 min to all attractions. Rooms are very clean and of good size; they are nicely decorated and furnished. Excellent breakfast, you find everything you want for breakfast. Very friendly staff- i woul stay tgere again!

Location was ideal next to station and 5min walk to Duomo.
Vegan options for breakfast.
Great for kids, staff gave our two little ones a colouring in pack on arrival and left books/games in the room in the evening when we returned which was a nice touch.
The room was nice but too hot at night which affected our sleep. The air conditioner didn't seem to help much and we didn't want to open the window as we understand mosquitoes were an issue.

Absolutely loved this hotel, a welcome drink was offered on our arrival, and even better we were upgraded to a room with a view. I needed a gluten free breakfast and it was excellent and so much choice . All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor and furnishings were superb the building was steeped in history. The main breakfast had so much choice and the waiters were extremely attentive and efficient. It was lovely to have a kettle in the room to have my first morning cup of tea, with a selection of beverages and biscuits. The location was excellent. The restaurant recommended by the hotel was excellent too

Beautiful rooms; fantastic staff and service; great breakfasts and lots of little additional touches that made our stay feel special. Great location just minutes from the Santa Maria Novella station and church, and just a few minutes walk to the Duomo. Everyone - guests and staff - seemed genuinely happy to be there and it's not surprising given the lovely building and atmosphere. If you like the personal touch, and to stay somewhere that's in keeping with its city, then this is the place for you.
Nothing we didn't like; we can't wait to return.
