I took the Deluxe Apartment and i have no regrets! Great value for money. Very spacious (50 sqm), with a covered terrace, a little private patio and, cherry on top, a big hot tub for relaxing evenings after daily long walks. The breakfast was great , the staff was so nice and the cleaning services, perfect. It was a five stars experience in a two stars hotel!

The staff are exceptionally hospitable and friendly. The breakfast is really done well. There was a great assortment of food and pastries. They have cooked eggs in assorted ways and all the food items were continuously replenished . The staff make espresso or other coffee drinks you ask for and they are right there during the breakfast times. The ladies doing the breakfast, worked very hard to provide the level of service they seem to want the customer to have. We remain very Impressed with all the staff. The location was why we originally chose this hotel and/or its sister hotel, " The Jane" across the street, both locations are great to visit Florence. From here we drove to all parts of the southern Tuscany Area. Beautiful country with roadway that are very drivable. Parking in the small towns can be challenging. Getting a parking App likely works well for that. ZTLs are tough all through Italy This hotel is out of the Florence ZTL that is a big deal if you are driving. They have a limited amount of parking that was priced well in their small garage (with auto door opener) just around the corner. There are other parking venues close by (we didn't have to use) The walk into the center of old Florence is less than a mile and the walk feels very safe. There are lots of people moving back and forth on the roadways in that area and it is fairly well lit. There were good restaurants and bars close by too. They are working on the main road SS67 serving this neighborhood day and night to get it done. The traffic still flowed well through the construction zone and they have set pedestrian corridors through the construction areas that work well. There was no noise at the Hotel Orcagna from this work as it is blocks away. The Building was likely gutted and repurposed to a hotel not so long ago. The layout is professionally thought out with a small elevator that works well. Hot water and Air conditioning etc. worked great.

Breakfast was correct - staff very friendly - bus line to the center of town 5 minutes walk from hotel
Elevator was stuck during all 5 days we stayed there but they moved us after one night from 4th floor to 1st floor .

Staff are friendly and professional, breakfast have a lot of choices for each day. Room size is big and super clean for the bed sheets. The only small downside is using the shower wasn't as easy as you would like but overall we enjoyed our 4 days stay there.
Shower designed has small flaws and wasn't as easy to use and safety box did not operate easily.
