The hotel was charming, clean, fresh and modern and the staff was so nice and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. We were able to store our luggage prior to checking in as well as the next day as we explored Florence.
The parking situation. The street is very narrow and parking is limited. There really isn't a place to stop or park to check-in, etc. I knew there was a parking garage provided by the hotel but couldn't find it. You have to have them direct you. However, the front desk staff explained the situation, personally walked us to the private parking garage and showed us what to do. I should have asked for instructions prior to arrival but I didn't know what to expect. It all worked out though!

This was a really good stay for us. Comfortable room, good facilities, good location, great value and most importantly super frie dlg and helpful staff. Breakfast was also included and was super complete and delicious. The hotel really exceeded my expectations.

Hotel Orcagna is quaint, clean, and comfortable, just outside the busy part of Florence but still very walkable for anywhere you need to go. Noise from the streets was not an issue at all. Our family of four stayed for three nights. Breakfasts are great, and the women who run it truly want to make it the best. Highly recommend!
Keep in mind that for the quadruple room, only the shower and toilet are in a separate area, and the door is made of frosted glass. The sink is in the main part of the room. Just some things to be aware of, based on your privacy needs.

This was a great stay, very comfortable, so great to have the Nespresso machine and some free pods. I would definitely stay here again.
From the photos, I thought there was a hot tub we would have access to. However, it's only for the people who stay in apartments there. I would remove it from the pictures so as to not create false expectations.

Paper walls spread the noise from pipes, sewage, corridors, and other guests.
Since we stayed 5 days, we really missed sleep in silence.

Room was great! We had a two bedroom room on a top floor with a large terrace - view of the Duomo from the terrace! Rooms were clean and modern.
There was very little privacy in the bathroom. It was in the middle between the two bedrooms and open to both.

Wonderful! Everything was super ! Clean, beautiful, nicely furnished, with a balcony, coffee in the room, fridge, and very friendly staff. The breakfast was varied and delicious!
We highly recommend it—you won’t regret it!

The staff was terrible. First we booked a second night when we arrived. Then after we moved in she said we would have to move our room because we were only two nights and she wanted to give it to someone else for three nights. (It was the best room because it had a jacuzzi…ish.) so we had to move or not get a second night. Then at checkout the elevator didn’t come( fourth floor). When we finally called down she said “oh yes. General maintenance. The worst part is never I’m sorry or how can we make it right. She basically didn’t care. But at least she was polite about it.

First of all, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They helped us with everything we needed, especially since we were traveling with children (6 years old) and seniors (over 65).
We booked two rooms, both of which were large, clean, and very comfortable. In one room, we were four people (two adults and two children), and there was plenty of space for the beds, a sofa, and enough room to move around freely. We also had a balcony, which was a nice bonus.
The second room was more like a spacious mini-apartment, with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, large bathroom, and a dining table.
We enjoyed complimentary coffee, snacks, and drinks, and the rooms were consistently well cleaned. We also had access to the Disney Channel and other thoughtful amenities. At night I had to work (online, smartworking) and I was in the hall from 1am to 5am, and I had complimentary coffee and drinks.
Breakfast was incredibly generous, high quality, and served with great kindness. Reading my own review, I understand it may sound hard to believe, but this was truly the best hotel experience my family and I had during our two-week trip across Italy. Hotel Orcagna is living proof that the number of stars does not matter when it comes to making guests feel welcome and cared for.
I may find the elevator a bit small, especially if you have large luggage. But this is only because I am asked to mention what I did not like. In fact, elevator or not, my family and I will go back next year. It was great.

Staff was exceptional and beyond hospitable. They went out of their way to make sure that we had a pleasant stay. They made recommendations and provided instructions to local restaurants, trains, buses, and other transportation services such as calling and making taxi reservations. The kitchen staff and room cleaning staff were outstanding as well. In all, I wish I could have rated them a 10+ overall. The location was minutes away from downtown and all the stores, restaurants and Historical sites, a perfect location. Would definitely go back
