This hotel is GORGEOUS. It is about 10-15 minutes outside of the main Florence city center, but that was exactly what we were looking for. The hotel sits right on the river, and is very private and peaceful. It has a very clean, beautiful pool that overlooks the river, as well as a restaurant and bar. You really wouldn't need to leave the hotel property if you didn't want to. Breakfast is delicious and has a little bit of everything, including more American options if that's your style. The beds were okay, but definitely could have been a bit comfier. There are wooden shutters in the room that, if completely closed, would entirely black out the room, so if that's your preferred sleeping style, you'll love it! Of course, you could just leave the shutters open or cracked (which is what we did) so we didn't totally oversleep. It was very easy to get a taxi at the front desk when we wanted to go into the city, and we never waited more than 5 minutes for the car to arrive. It cost about 20 euros each time we taxied, but it was worth it in our opinion. We only stayed here one night out of our 7 day honeymoon, but we both said how much we wished we had more time. We considered extending our stay, but we already had another place booked back in Rome where we were flying out of the next day.
Everything was exceptional. If you are looking for a hotel close to the city center and sightseeing, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for more of an escape from the hustle and bustle and the option to go into the city for a small taxi fee, THIS IS THE PLACE!

Gorgeous property. Nice pool and lounge chairs with towels. Excellent breakfast. Eat it in the garden. Despite the super hot summer, garden was comfortably cool in the morning shade. Views were stunning as well.
There was a bit of a sewer smell in the rooms where you walked out to the courtyard but I think it has more to do with the age of the location. I also smelled this in the city. Just put in the air conditioning and it goes away.

Recovery on our room, had an incident with the cleanliness of the sheets, which is surprising for this type of accommodation, yes sheets changed promptly which is a given and apology on the spot, yet nothing further which is surprising considering the rating of this hotel :/
