The hotel is so peaceful and the staff is amazing. I really liked the location and the food and drinks are wonderful and priced very fair. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is visiting Florence.
There is nothing that I didn't like. Fast elevator, easy check in and I loved the location.

Very nice hotel. We booked a basic room but we were upgraded to a larger room. Clean and spacious bathroom. The hotel is on a quiet street so no outside noises disturbed us.
Before completing the reservation, we called the hotel to confirm the property was outside Florence's ZTL zone (limited traffic zone where only residents can access; very stiff fines for unauthorized cars entering the restricted zone). We were assure by a staff member that the cameras recording the access points of the ZTL are not working and we could drive to the hotel without issues. Well it looks like the cameras were on after all. We followed the driving directions provided by our iPhone. Apparently there is a way to reach the hotel and avoid the cameras but that specific route was never mentioned when we called the hotel. We are now waiting to receive the fine in the mail; we'll see how it goes but I think the hotel staff should be more clear when giving driving instructions to people driving to the hotel.

We loved our stay in Palazzo Montebello! The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean, the beds were super comfy! The staff was very helpful and polite. The location was great, just 15 minutes walk to the center of Florence, and you could walk by the river Arno to enjoy a view of the city. The breakfast was nice. The decoration of the lobby and the patio of the hotel was very eclectic. We would gladly return to this hotel on our next visit in Florence.

If you’re looking for that "just right" spot in Florence, this is it. We honestly couldn't have picked a better home base for our trip.
The Location: Best of Both Worlds
The positioning is genius. You’re close enough to the heart of the city that all the main sights are just a short, easy walk away, but you aren't stuck in the middle of the suffocating tourist crowds. It felt like we had our own quiet escape to return to after a long day of exploring.
The Space: Room to Breathe
Finding space in European hotels can be a gamble, but our room was surprisingly spacious. The real MVP, though? The terrace. Having that extra outdoor space to unwind with a coffee (or a glass of wine) really leveled up the whole experience.

What really made the trip, though, was the team. The staff were absolute gems—incredibly helpful with every single inquiry we had, no matter how small.
Bottom line: This place didn't just give us a bed to sleep in; it actually made our entire experience in Firenze perfect. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

Location is good,breakfast ok,and the garden very beautiful.
Personal very unpolite,firs give us room at The 3 floor and it was very small and ugly! After we fight by speaking they give us good room.
What you see în The pictures are not the same for all room!!!!
So if you want suit or premier suit better stay grund floor.

Beautiful location, a little bit away from the centre of the city but a walkable distance
The air conditioning unit didn’t work. I was on the courtyard floor and had to open my windows (which was technically a door) to get cool my room down. I asked reception about this and they told me that April was still considered as winter month (weird) so the unit would only work as a heater not a coolant.

Clean lovely helpful staff, great location and a fabulous balcony.
But poor design of the shower/bath. It floods the whole bathroom make sure u have lots of towels to mop up every day
Breakfast was poor I’d rather eat out.
When you pay for breakfast you expect hot food included the price not to have to pay for eggs etc …. Not enough choice. Poor bread cheep cold meats. I love my breakfast and I wouldn’t stay here again because of this.
Poor value for money on the breakfast side.Very disappointed.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely outside area very central to Florence. All the staff we encountered were helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean.
We had to leave early on our final day, we had paid for breakfast so the hotel provided us with breakfast takeaway bags which were waiting for us when we checked out. We would love to stay here again and explore more of Florence in the future.
