The location was great
We were on the 5th floor with the bar above us so it was very noisy till about 1 am. It was also hot with no air conditioning and one fan blowing on three adults. I barely slept the two nights we stayed there.

Incredible location, near every attraction
Cleanliness, so hot and no air conditioning. Bathroom towels were bad and not properly clean. Shower and toilet had no separation, same floor so everything got wet

Wonderful
The location is excellent with the tarin station (Santa Maria Novella) and all major tourist attractions at a walking distance. The hotel is just 100mtrs away from the Duomo. The staff is available 24/7 and they all are extremely friendly and helpful.

Well, the location of this hotel is absolutely great!! The rooftop bar is also great, and you should plan to visit anyway.
The hotel is very centrally located between two main squares with a lot going on. However, although this is great, there is no AC in the rooms (the room gets terribly hot) which means you need to leave the windows open, and then there is too much noise all night long. I'm an easy sleeper overall, but I found it quite hard to sleep well in this hotel. The room is quite small, the bathroom is tiny, not all things in the room work as they should, and nobody cares to fix them. The members of staff could be more polite and attentive.

Location
No AC. I guess we could have checked for amenities. But we assumed that a hotel names after a powerful Italian noble family of Tuscan origin right in downtown Florence would have an AC. It had a heater, LOL! The worst part was that the rooms did not have a ceiling fan and they were stingy in providing an extra pedestal fans.

The location of this hotel couldn't be better. It is right in the middle of the city, close to the Duomo. It also has a rooftop terrace where you can have a cocktail or two and enjoy the beautiful view on the Duomo. A special mention for Elisa. She is capable of checking in three groups of people, while taking a reservation over the phone and getting the people who will take you car to the garage. All of it at the same time. Top notch service from a very friendly lady.
The hotel is clearly outdated. There is no airconditioning, only a fan. We did receive a second one on request by the way. The bathroom is spacey but has no shower curtain so it's a water ballet.

We were central to many experiences especially the duomo and two squares. Many restaurants and the corner cafe was awesome. Staff was wet friendly and helpful.
We were directly under the bar, 5th floor, and it was very noisy which made sleep nonexistent. Also street noise in this area at all times day and night. Coupled with no air and high temperature, it just wasn’t a good fit for us

Wonderful
The view from my room was breath-taking, stuoendous, utterly 5 star. I could hardly wrap my head around the sight, even though I'd resided one block away from the hotel during my undergrad study. The panaoramic view of the Battistero, Campanile, and Duomo on the street side terrace and the Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi on the back side of the building was truly special. The housekeeping is excellent and the front desk/management are cordial and authentically Florentine. I felt a lovely affinity for the staff and I actually miss both them and my room! The "View on Art" rooftop bar is NOT to be missed esp. as the view is even more stunning from there.
The only detraction was that my room did not have air con, however, it was unusually hot while I was there in June [40 C!] Therefore, it was hot everywhere "in centro".

The location of the hotel is excellent. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The hotel staff were also lovely, and we greatly appreciated being able to store our luggage with them securely both before and after check-in!
The room was much smaller than anticipated, and extremely hot as there is no air conditioning. The fan provided by the hotel could only do so much. We opened the windows to help with airflow, but because of the central location, it was extremely loud late at night and early in the morning, so sleeping was a little tough. Though, I knew there was no A/C and about the location when booking!

Walkable to anything.
No air conditioning. Open windows, means buggy, stagnant nights. We stayed when high temperatures were in the 80s. I would not recommend this place in the heat. Probably amazing in the spring/fall.

Disappointing
The location was great, considering how close it is to the Duomo.
There were 2 AC units in our room but the front desk staff confirmed that “they are not operating them at the time”… it was 98 degrees. Most uncomfortable sleep ever. Roof top view of the Duomo is beautiful, but you are forced to purchase an overpriced item from the menu in order to enjoy it, as if you didn’t already pay for it your stay.
