Very noisy, both street noise and hotel noise (I had not planned on listening on neighbour's tv or people in the hallway's discussions) and overall feel that it has not really evolved since the 1990's in terms of equipment. Customer service is also less than stellar.

A perfect location for those not travelling by car. In the heart of town by the Duomo and conveniently close to the train station. The room and bathroom were unexceptional but it was all amazing for the price.
The roof terrace bar on the floor above our room created some noise and movement in the stair/lift and corridors, even late at night. However, not too intrusive.

heating not great. comes on twice a day and shuts off at 23:00
went to bed in a cold room and woke up in a cold room.
The hotel did provide a little fan heater which helped.

This hotel will stay with me until my old age. I fully did not expect to have a balcony overlooking the Duomo, directly from my bedroom. It felt like an absolute fairytale.
Plus upstairs is a very popular bar which you can get some nice cocktails from, literally a few stairs away from your room, so convenient!
Everybody was terribly nice and I couldn't have asked for a better stay!
