The location of this hotel was outstanding, and the breakfast was exceptional. The historic hotel is directly next to the Arno and very charming. If you’re planning on visiting the UFFIZI museum it’s literally a two minute walk away. Loved everything and hope to visit again!

I absolutely DON'T RECOMMEND booking this hotel if you are arriving BY CAR and need parking. There are no indications by the Hotel whatsoever on how to get there, and we wasted two hours trying to find the parking lot, as it is practically impossible to access and is located right in the city center, through pedestrian streets, full of traffic and people. Two months later, we received four fines of €83 each for entering restricted traffic zones, plus a €36 commission per fine from the car rental company. The hotel refuses to take responsibility and passes the matter on to the staff at the garage they work with. Their website clearly states that our license plate would be added to a 'whitelist' to avoid fines, but now they are washing their hands of it. In short, almost €500 between fines and administrative fees, plus the wasted time and frustration of trying to find their parking garage. Unacceptable!!!

This property is one of the best I’ve stayed at in the world. I won’t go to Florence and stay anywhere else. Every aspect is perfect in terms of the property itself , amenities and location. But what makes it truly special is the staff. They care for you like you’re family. I had a very early departure this morning (3:30 am). My husband contacted the hotel by email because I hadn’t responded to his text ensuring I had checked out. He emailed them right away, assured him all was well, had my travel breakfast bagged and ready to go, and all like it required no effort.
I gave stay here several times and ALWAYS have a spectacular stay.
While Florence is a magical place, the degli Orafi makes it even more special.
