Large, clean, well equipped room, with modern bathroom. Authentic Florence experience. Location is perfect. Staff are so friendly and helpful.
Nothing to dislike about this property. The stairs to the tiny elevator and to reception keeps the fitness level up.

The location is perfect for all the obvious Florence sightseeing. The hotel is very well managed. The staff are all welcoming and keen to help with eg electric kettle, restaurant and gelateria recommendations. I had the single room with separate private bathroom as a way of making this centrally located hotel affordable during the September-October high season. Some people have complained about the two flights of stairs (30 steps) up to the lift to the second floor, but you only have to do this with a suitcase up and down once each, and walking up and down all the stairs is good for fitness! Florence is such a historic city, it's nice to stay in a buildng which feels part of that history. I will return in November another year when an ensuite will be more affordable for me. The amount of repeat business was notable.
The fresh fruit at breakfast was underripe and the muesli had chocolate in it, but everything else was very good - and the staff attentive and efficient re eg a jug of hot water for those who need more than one cup of tea.

Very nice smaller hotel with lot of character, in a good position for exploring Florence. I was in a single room however it was spacious and comfortable.
Just be aware of couple of flights of stairs to get to lift that takes you to reception

The location was perfect, very close to everything we hoped to see in Florence. The staff were all amazing.. everyone treated us as if we were friends or family. The breakfast was definitely worth it.. much better than a typical European breakfast ?. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Hotel Alessandra, and if ever back in Florence we will stay there again.
The lift to the second floor was a bit cumbersome with the amount of luggage we had, but it's to be expected in an old European hotel.

A steep staircase up to the elevator, which was the smallest I have ever seen.
