Excellent location and wonderful roof bar.
The restaurant was rather exclusive and fully booked for our stay, also the roof bar booked for events and parts closed off at times, with somewhat erratic service.

The hotel is amazing! It is 100 years old this year, 2023. The lobby is so inviting. The rooms and hallways have their old character, but updated. Breakfast on the 5th floor has an incredible view of the city. Location is superb.

The location is excellent - very close to the train station and can be connected via an underground passage. The hotel is also very close to the main attraction eg the Duomo Cathedral and other attractions are not far eg a short distance to walk. The Hotel has a nice feel with dark wood and historical passages. We liked the room (not enormous but fine) and the housekeeping was excellent. Our bedding was changed every day, There is a free mini bar containing cold drinks. We did not have breakfast here but we had a drink on the terrace of the piano bar which has superb views over Florence and was very peaceful. The staff were friendly. There are lots of comments re the hardness of the beds. Our mattresses were firm but for us this was perfect and the pillows are firm and soft. The bathroom had constant hot water and plenty of toiletries. It is quite pricey but Florence is expensive and I guess this is the going rate.
We wished the television had Netflix or a movie channel etc.

The hotel location was great! Close to shopping and restaurants. We took Taxis most everywhere as one of our travelers walks with a cane, however the taxi cost to most attractions was only $5-7 Euros. The hotel is within walking distance if we had been able. The room accommodations were excellent, clean and comfortable. The bed was a little hard however that is common in most European hotels. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the staff was very accommodating. The highlight of the hotel is the rooftop bar that gives you an incredible view of the Duomo and the city rooftops.
The beds were a bit hard.

This hotel is in the perfect location for site seeing, shopping, restaurants, train and bus. We started our mornings with a wonderful breakfast buffet and ended some of our days enjoying a drink on the roof top bar.
Our initial room was smaller than we expected, there were issues with the air conditioning system, it was leaking water on the floor and when my husband looked closer he saw mold inside the unit. We were uncomfortable staying in the room for fear that is was unhealthy. We turned off the air conditioning and the front desk brought us a fan to use for the night. The next day we were upgraded to a bigger room with a great view. For what we paid, the second room is more of what we expected. Room service. We called for room service to order lunch and on multiple occasions the phone was not answered. On one occasion we were told it was closed. It would be nice to expand the hours of service. Also, we looked to the concierge for assistance/guidance on how to get transportation to the Pisa Airport and received no follow through on the request for a private car to pick us up. We walked away from the conversation with a low level of confidence so we ended up researching other options and ended up taking the train.

I liked the size of the room, the view from the room window. The views from the Breakfast area was spectacular. Location was amazing for all things Florence. Easily accessible and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Bathroom felt a bit dated.. Amenities, the tub and the showerhead felt old.
