Gorgeous and spacious room, with 360 view of Florence and rooftop bar overlooking the Duomo, located near the Santa Novella train station and church with 10 min walk to all major sites.

Who was in walking distance to Florence and the bullet train
We slept at the windows open, it was very loud, there was barely any air-conditioning. They advertise three single beds and they gave us two full-size beds in a daybed couch, which was not as advertised or as comfortable.

Location
Bedroom comfort. Room was over hot, but couldn’t open window due to street noise, bed was not comfortable and in particular pillows were poor - despite asking for and being supplied with different pillows. Primary requirement of a hotel is that you have a good night’s sleep. That was not possible here. Thought breakfast was very average too.

Location was great, roof top bar was very nice outside and staff was very nice.
Our room smelled a bit moldy and so did the fan air conditioner so we left it off, thankfully we had a window to open. Would have been nice to have breakfast included in our rate instead of an extra cost so we went out instead.

We had arranged with the front desk to be provided with a breakfast basket, because we would leave early the following day. The truth is that they forgot about it and were not quite apologetic at first. We had to buy breakfast from a cafe nearby, even though we were entitled to the hotel’s breakfast, since it was included in the -quite expensive- price.
I have to admit, though, that they provided us with a voucher for two free drinks at their beautiful roof bar on their own, which we appreciated. This hotel is by far my favourite in the city, so I’m mentioning this incident as fruitful feedback, not because I wouldn’t recommend it.

Wonderful buffet breakfast
Rooms are very dark, although nicely furnished in traditional style. A full length mirror would have been appreciated
