Very Poor
To be completely fair, the location is excellent, walking distance to all major attractions, and we appreciated the welcome bottle of wine. However, the positive points end there.
We chose Ricasoli Premium One Bedroom Apartment expecting a luxury stay at a premium price, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing travel experiences we’ve had.
1️⃣Key Collection Issue
Despite arriving at 9 PM, a perfectly normal arrival time, we were forced to collect the key in person from a different location, the reception of another hotel. We were tired, carrying luggage through the city at night and waiting for a bus for almost 20 minutes. The justification was that they needed to check IDs in person, something every other rental easily handles digitally through Booking (or they provide a safe box with code). Very inconvenient and unnecessary.
2️⃣ Misleading Listing & Photos
The apartment we were given did not match the photos shown on the confirmed booking. We later realized they had included photos from the Executive apartment in the listing of the Premium One Bedroom we booked, very misleading for guests paying high prices expecting a certain standard. When we raised this with the property, it was simply brushed off.
3️⃣ Severe Mold Problem (Health Concern)
The most serious issue: a strong mold smell throughout the flat, visible mold on the bathroom ceiling and kitchen furniture, and increasing discomfort in our throats. By the 3rd night, it became unbearable, we both woke up sick, struggling with breathing and throat irritation. This is absolutely unacceptable at any accommodation level, let alone a place marketed as luxury.
When reported, the response we received blamed humidity and rain, which is extremely worrying, this indicates the issue is ongoing and known. They offered to move us to a different accommodation for the last night, which was not a realistic solution as we already had plans and were leaving the next day. We unfortunately left sick and extremely disappointed. This apartment should not be advertised as luxury or rented at this price point until these issues, especially the mold problem, are fully resolved.

Our host was very friendly and informative. We were late for arrival due to our train and he was very receptive to meeting us for checkin.
The location is excellent . A 17 min walk from the train station and close to many restaurants and tourist sites. The Galleria dell’Acaddemia is a 1 minute walk away. There is a delightful Gelateria located beside the main entrance door.
We had the Acaddemia room on the third floor which faced the street. It was generally very quiet. The generous modern space was excellent for our stay which included a master bedroom, kitchen/eating area and also a second bed loft. Many turnkey amenities were included which improved the quality of our stay. The highlight was a huge jacuzzi tub which also featured a rainfall shower head. It was located behind the master bed and adjoined two separate bathrooms.
The entrance foyer and adjoining suites are very secure and the building is in a safe neighbourhood. There would be no concerns for security.
I would highly recommend this facility.

Comfortable beds, fantastic bath, location was great.
Easy check in and out. Lift to the top floor. Quiet.
Fridge could benefit from repairing. Otherwise, no issues at all.
Would also be helpful to have a dust pan and brush a minor detail but nice to be able to clean up after breakfast.

Quality fo the apartment was exceptional - fabulous large jacuzzi bath and shower. Check in process was excellent - being met by Andrea who showed the property and then gave lots of local insights - good restaurants where the locals go away from the tourist traffic

Heater in the jacuzzi bath area was not working and neither was the heater function. Items were also abit dusty. However, overall room was very spacious and nice looking. Location was also perfect for those who need to frequent the train station.

I thought the location was amazing. It was so easy to guide yourself from the Duomo around the city. There was breakfast just across the road. It was great. The apartment size was great for two.
I would have liked slighty better cleanliness. Although I know the apartment was cleaned. It smelled like it was done with a stale mop or cloth

Very nice property in a great location. Lots of space and a balcony. 2 bathrooms! Clean. We were greeted on our arrival & given a tour. Lovely guide. They gave us biscotti & Prosecco on the house as a welcome gift. Elevator was appreciated. Elegant style.
We could not figure out if the hot tub/jacuzzi actually had hot water. We tried to communicate with staff, but they did not respond. We were so looking forward to that from aching legs (endless walking during our travels), but we couldn’t use it. Just cold water. ?

The apartment was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. It was in a great location, right next to the michaelangelo museum and away from too much hustle and bustle. Nice restaurants, cafes and convenience shops near by.
The bathroom needs fixing and cleaning. The handle to lock the bathroom was broken on one side. And the plug hole in the jacuzzi bath is broken. There is a lot of mould all over the bath. You can actually see it everywhere, and that needs to be treated and cleaned. You can also smell mould from the point you walk into the apartment. This was the let down, to what would otherwise be a perfect apartment.
