We are from America and we stayed one night at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. It was only a 10 minute drive to the Florence Airport. It is a modern, clean hotel, with updated amenities. The room had an espresso machine, mini fridge, plenty of towels and bedding. There is shampoo, body wash and lotion provided. Breakfast had many options, Italian style (cured meats, pastries, etc.) and American (scrambled eggs, cereal, pancakes etc.) Front desk colleagues were nice.
We walked to dinner near by, there are different restaurants to choose from.
Parking is difficult-provided more info below. Would recommend this hotel especially if you need to be close to the airport as it is a little further from Florence attractions.
Parking is difficult, there are only 5 free parking spots next to the hotel at a carpet company. Once the spots fill up you are required to find your own parking. Parking is extremely difficult in this area of Florence. We were not notified of this until we arrived at the hotel. Traffic is heavy in this part of Florence too. It was challenging getting in and out of the small lot due to traffic and having to back out of the parking lot.

The breakfast buffet was very good. It was the best breakfast we had throughout our 2 week stay in Italy. So much to choose from and of good quality. Well worth the cost and so convenient.

The lift is small and door closes too quickly so it hid my head trying to get off. One has to keep that in mind. Maybe the timing on closing/opening can be adjusted to prevent injuries.

Very clean, they booked a taxi for our flight the next morning at 3:45am. Staff walked us out. Very nice

We stayed at this hotel to be near the airport (5 minutes by cab)
The air condition is controlled from the reception. It starts to work when you get into the room, but stops suddenly after a couple of hours. Had to call twice in the middle of the night to the reception. They reactive the AC remotely. The in room ac buttons don’t work

Front Desk personnel are EXCEPTIONAL! Beautiful interior and nicely decorated rooms. Breakfast Buffet was pretty good too.
Room air conditioning. It did not work most of the time, so the temperature would climb to 24 C. (Room 112)

The room was clean and so was the bathroom. There are elevators so you don't have to haul your luggage.
The centre of the city is reachable by bus (stop right next to the hotel) and tram (After a walk of 8-9 mins).
Air conditioning worked well.
They provide you water bottles, the room has a coffee maker too.
The breakfast was decent, could do with a few more options, but not bad at all.
The reception staff was very nice. He even helped with out luggage from the taxi.
They clean and make the rooms everyday, which is very nice.
The lady on the breakfast duty was very rude, She responded to our smile with a frown. Also made an issue of us staying 6 mins over, in the breakfast hall, called the reception and so on.
This was not the case with a white family the next day. Well we didn't care much, but it is a hotel, not a military academy, where you make an issue of 6 minutes. Maybe the underlying cause was something else.
The safe in our room was not working, so we had to carry our important stuff with us everywhere. A staff member replaced the batteries but it didn't help, he said he cannot do anything else, and I should read the instructions :P which was a bit silly.

Loacted across the street from a grocery store and 'food cart'. 7 minute walk to tram station. Everything worked.
A bit dated with the black and mirrors theme. Some furniture was worn. Shower is pretty small.

Close to the airport, clean, nice staff. Excellent restaurant, Il Carnivore, within walking distance from the hotel. Staff recommended another restaurant but I stumbled on this on my way to eat. It was delicious.
This is a convenient hotel for airport transfers. Don’t really see people staying here unless it is for work or travel. I met three couples at 5 am waiting for cabs to the airport. You can easily take the T2 tram to get to the main train station if you want an option to visit tourist sites in Florence.
